Trading Bari would take some finagling because this is the final year before hos extension kicks in his cap hit for the receiving team will be more than the cap relief the Rockets would get for sending him out.

Theres only two nba teams under the cap and 1 of them would almost have to be involved in some type of way.

Nothing until the offseason since Jabari's contract effectively can't be moved right now as @xtruroyaltyx stated

After that, I'm with @Hemingway we better be getting Jokic or SGA if we're giving up all of that. (We're not getting either of those guys, FYI.)

Bari is painfully mid but he's happy here and will accept his role as 5th man. He has a decent contract unlike Eason who is probably out the door in the off-season since he's pretty visibly unhappy.

You will have to keep Jabari unless some team is very delulu about his abilities (not likely).

Jabari is the best asset in that trade package fwiw. Sengun isnt getting anything close to what people think.

Paper All Stars like Trae Young get traded for peanuts while elite role players go for multiple FRPs. I'd entertain a 3 team trade with the Bucks/Hawks that gets us Myles Turner and Zaccharie Risacher.

    Bucks In: Sengun/Pels Pick/Tari
    Hawks In: Giannis
    Rockets In: Myles Turner/Risacher

The problem w/ your idea is the NBA isn't going to value him on 2 week post-injury as his next 5 year baseline.

They saw what he did to Giannis w/ the game on the line.
They saw what he did to Mobley w/ the game on the line.
They saw what he did to Isaac w/ the game on the line.
They saw him not back down from a generational fou...defender, in Draymond, in a 7 game series.
They saw Kevin Durant - kevin freaking durant - happily defer to him w/ the game on the line for 2 months to start the season. And before this season they saw multiple years of Alpi as the best +/- on a rebuilding team ultimately becoming an All-star and leading the team to the #2 seed in a stacked West.

So your problem is talent evaluators going off 2 weeks v 5 years. But hey, a team like the Kings might think Reynaud and a 2nd is fair value as they just might value him off the same 2 weeks you are.

Hope this helps dawg. Stay warm. Happy Sunday.

There is no world I see where the NBA allows Giannis to be a Hawk or Giannis wanting to be a Hawk lol I’m sorry man.

Why Atlanta is a much better place to live than Milwaukee and is a pretty decent TV market? That Pels pick is golden. Can’t believe they gave it up for freakin’ Queen.

If the Rockets are willing to trade Sengun their best bet may be to the Hawks who think they are close. Sengun, DFS for Porzingus, NAW, 26 NOP unprotected first, 29 Hawks frp. That is a win now center that fits with Amen in Porzingus on a 1 year deal, NAW who is younger and better than DFS and more dependable than Tari who he can replace if he leaves, a chance at the no. 1 pick and certainly a top 4 pick in 26 and another unprotected pick in 29. With a starting lineup of Amen, Reed, Durant, Tari/Bari, Porzingus the Rockets can play 4 out. Porzingus is also a much better rim protector than Sengun. Porzingus walks next year freeing up 40m in cap space and you replace him with a very strong rookie or FA center. You then have FVV’s expiring, Adams contract and a plethora of draft picks to upgrade wherever you like. Lineup this year:
    Amen/Reed
    NAW/Okogie
    Durant/Tari
    Jabari/Tari
    Porzingus/Capella

Sengun and Tari should land you Giannis if that’s the direction you want to go.

I didn’t want Giannis before but certainly not after his injury. Whoever has him better be 100% sure that calf is completely healed before he gets back on the court. An Achilles injury is career ending for a Giannis type player.

GOING OLD like that guarantees a wasted tanking session, those two together wouldn't win **** because neither plays good consistent defense.

They’re also not going to evaluate Sengun on 5-6 highlight plays. Youre also missing the last second clankers he took when it should have gone to KD. Sengun is only effective around the key, you push him out further and force him take those one leg fade aways, he becomes absolutely putrid.

btw im pretty sure Senguns FG% against Draymond last year in the playoffs was terrible. Draymond shut him down. Sengun is a terrible match up against strong defenders that he cant back down.

Ive like Turner for yrs. Also, I think with his ability to step out and hit 3pt shots open the lane for Amen

    Not that I want it…

LaBron, his son and Smart (coach’s former pet)
    …for…
    Sengun & FVV

Maybe if we could pull a few FRPs out of LA

we become very much win now and keep “part” of the rebuild with Amen, Tari, Bari & Reed

It would be hilarious if both went to the Hall of Fame as Rockets
