Most of the stuff i was listening to way WAY more rational/realistic/honest about stroud then the crap you read on here. On here people think brown/nico/schultz being injured is irrelevant which is obviously irrational and nonsensical. Herbert gets crapped on way more.

But that distinction wasn’t what you raised earlier. You brought up “golden boys” and suggested race as a factor, without pointing to any personal comments or examples.

If there are specific posts crossing that line, call them out. Otherwise, broad implications just blur legitimate football talk with something it isn’t.

Did you address that person directly, or did you bring it here and use it to imply that Texans fans criticizing CJ are doing the same thing?

This isn’t Reddit. If there’s an issue on Reddit, call it out there.

    again,

Did you address that person directly, or did you bring it here and use it to imply that Texans fans criticizing CJ are doing the same thing?

It's not about race. Allen got criticized heavily for his pathetic performance. Don't know how you didn't hear it. Nobody cares CJ is black. He's regressed terribly and he's not good. As I said before thank God we still ended up with Will. Allen and Herbert are miles better than CJ who went early in a very weak class. Allen has delivered just couldn't win the big game. I'm not a big Herbert guy but there's not a gm in the league that wouldn't take both of them over Stroud. You and I both know this. Nobody cares what color their skin is. Doesn't make a single difference at how they play QB. Don't be ridiculous

Stuck at home with this weather and unfortunately thanks to CJ there’s no game to watch.

Give me one example of a mopey, pouty quarterback that needs to be coddled to protect his fragile payche leading his team to the promised land. Jay Cutler made it to the NFC championship game once I guess then quit on his team because he was performing poorly.

I can see a guy like Mayfield or Darnold being coached up. I don't know how you coach up leadership and moxie.

It shouldn't, but it does. Questioning his intelligence. Whether or not he has the mental capacity to play QB. It is the same BS that prevented Black QBs in the 70s and 80s getting opportunities. Warren Moon had to win 5 Grey Cups to get a chance in the NFL. Trevor has SUCKED before this year, but they never question his mental capacity. He gets a QB whisper, and it changes him. Coaching matters, pieces matter. Jacksonville doesn't have the best line, but they did invest in it. Something the Texans haven't done. Jags also have RBs and added WRs. QBs need help.

Yeah...the O-line and run game didn't have anything to do with? 4 INTs, 7 points scored off. Where did the other 21 come from? Not a short field...

I think you are in some weird texans only bubble, Trevor was trashed endlessly and ridiculed for being a bust.

There is a difference in trashing play and making it personal.

I’m sure you can still find some racial bias towards the QB position in 2026, but come on. That’s a figment of a bygone era w/ decades of successful African-American QB play sending such sentiments to the trash heap where they belong. Classifying criticism of CJ Stroud as majority race-based in 2026 is disingenuous, a preferred defensive mechanism to cover up the real reason for the criticism— wilting terribly in the moments when stars are supposed to shine, the NFL playoffs. Stroud failed that exam miserably this season. All you have to do is listen to analysis of his performances in these playoffs beyond the organization and its fans to recognize this. Can he turn it around and eventually “get it done”?…….certainly. But for now he deservedly carries the label of non-playoff performer holding back a franchise ready to contend elsewhere

You take it personal, specially when there’s some perceived racial aspect in your mind

I predict if the Broncos don’t show up today, the wound already opened last week will only get worse.

If Denver wins, some will still think the Texans might have fared differently. If NE rolls, Houston will further bemoan the loss of opportunity and reignite anger at CJ.

Every pick next season is going to rain excessive boos and calls for his job. I think he lost a lot more than many realize and it’ll only get worse if NE continues to win.
