I think that CJ can be great again with the right coaching. That's why I hope that Houston trades him so that he can get the needed development that didn't happen here. Not only did CJ NOT get developed, he became trash. Great job Houston!
What's crazy is the pouting CJ was doing in the first clip when they initially show him....the game is 10-21 with over 4 minutes left in the second aka still very much in it, especially with that defense. Instead he isolates himself to sulk. I was watching a weather stream cause of the storm and streamer said "this storm is gonna be like CJ Stroud on Sundays aka not very good". I turned it off
Three years of no coaching and being surrounded by subpar talent can do that. I look forward to getting a new QB that we can f*ck up while watching CJ flourish elsewhere.
Don't worry, the chances that CJ isn't the qb next season is probably like 2%, and that 2% is just him getting injured in the offseason like FVV. There's no options unless the texans decide to tank (in that case someone like wilson, mac jones, mills would be good) and go for the qb in the 27 draft.
There’s never any accountability for CJ. Every mistake is always someone else’s fault. Now, even his demeanor is being blamed on others.

The same as they anointed him the next superstar after his rookie season? It works both ways. I'm sure many people want to be wrong. I know I do. I was upset when they picked him over Anderson and thankfully we had a deal to move up to get him. I've never been a Stroud guy. Anderson is obviously a generational talent. Stroud is exactly what I thought he was going to be. He doesn't see the field and can't make reads. Same as at Ohio State. That's how Michigan made him see ghosts
So the Texans start getting a reputation of ruining QBs? At some point, improve your coaching, scheme, and actually draft /sign players on the offense.
The pile on has been over the top. Where is the Josh Allen and Herbert over the top pile on? Can't hate on the "golden boys"...This fringes on being partly about race. CJ was bad, but Allen was supposed to be an MVP. Herbert was supposed to be fixed by Harbaugh.
Herbert gets ridiculed constantly but i guess it depends what you listen to. Obviously on the Texans forum, the vitriol will be directed at the guy on the Texans. Allen gets some hate but i think most people recognize that team is trash and would go 4-13 without him. Before this, most of his losses were to Mahomes (and he wins the denver game if the refs don't screw him, bills without question won that game only to have the refs steal it).
No, I've seen the criticism of both of them, on shows and such. This is different. Herbert has never gotten it like this. He has also never won a playoff game. Remember, the Chargers blew that huge lead to the Jags in the playoffs. It was never like this. As for Allen, his turnovers kept the Broncos in that game and they lost. They blamed the coach, not Golden Boy Josh. He cries, and he is "just passionate about the game". CJ shows emotion about his best friend (Tank) on the team, and he is a "mentally weak" and is "not a man, or tough". "He is pouting on the sideline", or maybe he is contemplating what is going...trying to get his mind right. People think what they want because they are PROJECTING themselves. Probably need to look in the mirror. CJ is not the first player to have bad games in the playoffs and will not be the last. But this has been crazy. Posted on Reddit...WTF?: Attacking his personal pain. I understand making fun of ****...but people have gone over the top. So yeah, I am rooting for CJ prove people wrong. If not here, in his next stop. And when a Sean McVeigh gets him and changes his game (like he started with Baker), He will have the last laugh.
Ya i mean we probably just listen to different stuff, herbert gets trashed waaaaaaaaaaay more than cj in my listening experience
I don’t care about Allen or Herbert — they’re not Texans. This is about CJ. I’ve been pointing out issues with his play since the third game of his second season, even while also calling out the broken O-line. Adding “golden boys” and vague race implications just derails the discussion. If you think the media is biased, call the media out — don’t imply that Texans fans who are critical of CJ’s play are being racist.
Feels like confirmation bias; He's looking for something, sees it everywhere and ignores all the counterexamples.
Na. Just Google CJ Stroud. Hell, type it in YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, etc... There is criticism...which is perfectly fine. Then there's much of the other stuff.
