so here's a scenario, I'm armed - I have a nice Glock 9 mm pistol I can put on my hip- I confront federal agents. I am positioned not on the sidewalk being vocal, but aggressively confrontational and non compliant and impeding operations which is a defined crime. As I am being restrained due to my actions, I put up resistance, I am now reaching for my gun and the agents are holding my arms back trying to restrain my actions- As it seems the inevitable outcome is I may reach my pistol as I'm struggling- I get shot - in that very instance/ I would deserve to be shot - like I said if people want to fight ICE you cannot fight them in the streets. This is the result. And unfortunately, the politicians almost seemingly want this to happen because it helps their cause so I guess this is necessary collateral damage for them despite their words because they're inflaming the situation instead of helping. if I was a state politician that had a backbone of integrity I would be telling people, even if I was a Democrat you want to protest simply stay on the sidewalk you can shout you can hold your signs. You can make your noise, but it cannot be impeding operations. Anything beyond that is a crime

Because I watched multiple angles of the same thing. The gun was taken away before he was shot. He never resisted. There was no reason to even take him to the ground. The guy literally did nothing to the officers besides try and help someone up that had been pushed by them.

1- That video shows an ICE agent pushing a woman to the ground. The ICU nurse moved in for a split second to help her up, and for that he was immediately pepper‑sprayed in the face. His natural reaction was to turn away from the spray. Then several ICE officers tackled him to the ground. There does not even seem to be anything to comply with. 2- People put themselves in bad situations all the time. They make bad decisions too. None of that is a reason to be killed. Saying “just comply” turns this into “comply or be killed.” That standard is an extreme devaluing of human life. I can only think of a few governments that openly kill people for not complying or for making a bad decision. China today is not even there. And if that were the standard, we would have had thousands of deaths on January 6.

No one wants criminals in our country, but that’s not who this administration is going after. They’re targeting law-abiding immigrants who just want to support their families and live the American Dream. They’re going after immigrants who have asylum or other forms of legal protections to be in our country. They’re going after U.S. citizens who disagree with their tactics — and in less than a month, two of our fellow Americans in Minneapolis have been killed as a result. Enough is enough. We need to rein in ICE’s out of control conduct. As a member of the U.S. Senate, I have the responsibility to hold the Trump Administration accountable when I see abuses of power — like we are seeing from ICE right now.
