He is playing hurt. I’m sure of it. There is only one center in the league better than Sengun when healthy. I don’t count Embid or Davis, because they cannot stay on the floor and cost 20m+ more. About the only way you would trade Sengun is a package that includes a top 3 in this draft and multiple additional FRP’s. Giannis is a terrible fit alongside Amen and we should be building around him.
Alpi just needs to get with the program and start building chemistry with Reed. He’s too smart of a player to act like he’s not looking for him on purpose. Amen has started trusting Reed and his assist numbers have gone up.
Giannis is a bad fit next to Amen our real franchise player. By the way, Giannis got hurt tonight. Pretty bad timing for him to be demanding a trade (which I think he is). Sengun is hurt as well. If we are going to compete this year, we need to trade for a backup SG/Combo guard and a decent enough center to let Sengun rest for a few weeks. We have Adams, Tari, DFS and some pretty good picks to get something done, but I bet Ime (the de-facto GM) stands pat.
A superstar that can’t even carry his team past the first round in the weak eastern conference. Will they even make the playoffs? He injured his calf again. He’s really close to tearing his Achilles. I would stay far away from Giannnis
I agree on the Sengun part. He forced it against double teams multiple times tonight while looking straight at a wide open Reed. Not sure it’s Reed or just that he has become a selfish player or pissed he lost his numero uno status to Durant. I do think he is playing hurt, but that should make him even a more willing passer.
I’m telling yall trade Sengun for #1 pick if we can. Go with a future backcourt of Reed / Peterson with Amen at a forward spot and buy a center when KD leaves 2028 If kings get #1 you could try to flip him for Sabonis 2yr contract and you won’t notice a thing
