I grew up when televisions were rather expensive and we only had one TV at home. My mother liked Lawrence Welk, so I could watch his show or find something else to do. Every once in a while I would watch it, but most of the time I would go do something else.
Aside from some obscure artists doing covers, I can't say I recall you posting any Asian girl or "women groups" right this moment, other than Lake Street Dive (which has a female singer), whom I enjoy. The rest is probably true though. I know I try and share stuff that others will enjoy. I can recall posting a couple songs/albums that I thought were great that no one seemed to care for. It happens. I appreciate everyone that contributes to this thread. No BS, I really do.
I very recently had several in the Cover thread. I am quite aware of when I do it. Cover Songs that are Better Than the Original Lemon Tea by Sheena & the Rokkets is a response to a query by Buck about The Train Kept A Rollin being used in a commercial. Sheena used the music, but had different lyrics and it might be what was used in the commercial. Female Singers of a certain style Already well known Judy Collins Joan Baez Lesser known Rachel Price (Lake Street Dive) Judith Durham (The Seekers) Eva Cassidy
Nothin' has ever been wasted 'cause there's nothin' that you won't restore as the waters rise, I'll lift up my eyes to where my help's comin' from 'cause you’re where my help's comin' from
A heart that's full up like a landfill a job that slowly kills you bruises that won't heal you look so tired, unhappy bring down the government they don't, they don't speak for us I’ll take a quiet life a handshake of carbon monoxide and no alarms and no surprises
I should've worded my post more clearly. I wasn't doubting you. Trying to say I didn't think you were overdoing any one genre.
Umm...this is the cutest and hottest thing ever! So hot and a voice to go with! And, I like how she sings the song and I learned to play a finger-picked guitar backing track to it that sounds fabulouso.
