All so true. Caserio has done some nice things here, no doubt. But his timeline here is also littered with strategic missteps. I think it is a huge mistake by the Texans org to just ride on with Caserio. But the org seems to just be sleepwalking on this.
The Texans are not a nimble organization. Never have been. For an organization to have so few GMs over 25 years and to have never won anything of circumstance is telling. They value relationships over urgency. That's fine when you are the Steelers and have won 5 super bowls.
I can see the Texans going for a 2nd tier free agent RB. Not Walker or Hall, but more so somebody like Rico Dowdle.
I think teams paid attention to Dowdle this year = probably gets a better than average deal ($5M AAV) I think Tyler Allgeier makes a LOT of sense for Texans (somebody else already posted that)
Just wait till we get the inevitable they want a contract extension and the team wants to wait to see how he does next season. Then holdouts, months of speculation, etc.
