No….then we’d have zero offense. Reality is that our defensive coach can’t run offense and our GM has created an all defensive bad offensive team with no help in site. Just a horribly constructed and coached team. Can’t even make free throws. No changes will be made because the problem areas are running the team and they won’t fire themselves.

Not sure it’s KD that’s the problem more than it is that we don’t have one single reliable playmaker who can get the rockets into a set quickly. Sengun is also not really a playmaker. He’s a post scorer who can make good passes occasionally. I think this season has exposed him as not being a point guard that he thinks he is.

With Jalen Green last season we saw a tale of two teams… an effective team when he was on about 40% of the time and a grind it out defensive team when he was not because of the personalities of Dillon, Amen, Fred, Tari, and Jabari combined.

You take away Jalen, Dillon, Fred, and replace that with KD and you are getting something in return that is different that what any one of those players gave you, but you still are missing the single perimeter playmakers we had (who weren’t that good mind you but they could at least have good games) and you also take away two great defenders who gave us that edge…. And here we are.

Turnovers and free throw shooting. Jabari being inconsistent. Defensive lapses. Udoka's substitution quirks. Durant playing way too many minutes. Injuries. This team has issues and isn't trending in the right direction. Hate to see it, but there's still time to fix a lot of that stuff. Not a great look right now though.

The issue is that Ime Udoka is one of those complete morons who go exclusively on eye test and have nothing but contempt for the metrics that show what is actually happening on the court.

    1. KD’s passing is awful, his hands are awful and he’s lazy with the ball.

    2. Amen, KD and basically everyone needs to become more ball secure and work on their handles.

    3. Ime is a moron and Sengun too for his flopping, falling and waving instead of playing defense and look to score instead of bailed out. Also FT shooting Alpi…

One good thing about this game is we see Amen’s playmaking ability. We also have a glimpse of what a lineup without Sengun (4 shooters and 1 defensive big) can do.

I have pushed for trading either Sengun or Amen but leaning towards Sengun. I think you get Giannis and Turner in here. I believe the Rockets will win a championship with Giannis and a stretch 5. No doubt

Reed Sheppard played 2 minutes more than some guy named Domnick Barlow. That statement should tell you everything.

none of that is on ime? really? the same coach that is telling Durant to play PnR at the top of the circle even though we see nearly 2-3 TOs EVERY SINGLE NIGHT from the the same setup.

    give me a break

Did this really happen or is AI humor? It’s a shame that we really don’t know unless we watched the post-game live.

I did. I dont doubt its competitiveness. I doubt the quality of the players being actual measuring sticks. Beating Jokic and Giannis with a bunch of scrubs isnt exactly like beating the Bucks or Nuggets.

That's a turnover recipe no doubt. I don't mind the concept, but there has to be an adaptation at some point. Durant's turnovers are a problem.

Nobody running away sans OKC, but Rockets are missing some golden opportunities with these crazy arse L's. We shoot ourselves in the foot and it doesn't seem Ime is particularly helping.

Rockets are closer to GS than SA..... smh

We don’t have the ability to get both Turner and Giannis until the off-season. If you want to trade for Giannis in season you can do it for Sengun, Adam’s, and Tari plus a lot of picks. Giannis would have to be willing to play center in my opinion. He has stated his preferred position is PG. We will have the same outside shooting issues if we trade for Giannis only. A better trade would be Sengun and Tari for Adebayo and we could hang onto our picks or use 1 or 2 of them for a SG.

Sengun and Jabari together is a terrible front court. Weak defensively and inefficient offensively.

    Cooked meaning what?

Rockets looked 2nd Round entering the season and they are on pace. The biggest surprise is SA unfortunately. It just had to be them.
