Ime doesn’t hate Reed. He just doesn’t think Reed matters much. He thinks of him like he thought of year two Payton Pritchard. A young specialist who can help situationally, but not a main piece. Others see Reed as a blue chip prospect and a net positive NBA player right now. I mostly agree. If you hold that view of a player, they have to play 30+ minutes every night no matter what. That’s essentially always true in the NBA. Ergo, we know Ime doesn’t see Reed that way.
KD shoots 51% on midrange out of 100 shots that is 102 points. Reed shoots 41% on 3pters out of 100 shots that is 123 points. 123 is greater than 102..... IME IS A ****ING IDIOT ! DD
Just a horribly coached game by Udoka. Winnable game sabotaged by bad coaching. His lineups at end of game were just awful.
Ime needs to teach his players how to shoot free throws…tired of watching “professionals” shoot 50% freebies and lose in overtime which should never have happened!
Ime is scapegoating in his post-game press by saying Reed was inconsistent in his 4th quarter D. Dude! The Rockets were leading by a few points until Reed got sub with a few minutes left in the regular period. Never-ending that the young man was solely responsible for providing the spark to make the comeback to a near double digit lead. Fire Ime.
Correct! If Jalen quickly becomes a decent player in phoenix that will raise even more questions. I don’t see any of the young ones developing well in offense. And with Reed it got to a new ridiculous level.
If Ime can't see that the Rockets play so much better with Reed in the lineup, then somebody else will. I'm not saying start Reed, mainly because we need a spark from the bench brigade, but play him 30 plus minutes, including the final minutes that usually mean "winning time" or not.
Guys, to be nitpicky about needing a scorer off the bench or some defense is really not looking at the big picture. The starting lineup is far from good enough offensively - so much so it needs a historic offensive rebounding rate just to look good. The core of Amen/Sengun/Durant can only generate about 10 attempts from 3pt range (and that's 60% of your lineup). We need to generate another 15 or so attempts from the other two guys. The absolute best we can do is Reed Sheppard taking 9-10 attempts and Jabari taking around 6-7 attempts. This thing doesn't flow well without Reed's shooting. Without that ability, we are trading way too many 3's for 2's and working much harder than everyone else to overcome that. That's a seismic problem. Things like bench scoring and falling behind 1-2 spots defensively are way less important/urgent. Time to start Reed. Will bring our core trio to life.
He does not hate him, dude just got control issues......he probably has the rotation minutes mapped out before games.... And getting inflexible during games. It almost seems that he wants to prove that he is a great coach without Reed.
Reed was the 9th person to check in tonight. He didn't check until 1 min left to go in the 1st and 2 min left to go in the 3rd. Reed was the 4th sub behind Eason, Finney-Smith, and Capela... This was after being the best player in the previous game leading a thrilling comeback. And the guy almost did it again if he could of hit one of the layups he missed. I just can't express how upset I am at the absolute mismanagement.
he was gassed because the rotations were godawful to begin with. Ime never wanted to play Reed in this game but he couldn't pull him because he clearly was the only thing giving us positive momentum in the second half.
Just listened to the post game (versus 76ers) clip of Ime BLAMING REED for the loss saying he missed defensive assignments and communication. Him not playing in the overtime had nothing to do with being "gassed."
