  1. Draft the best QB available

    6.5%
  2. Bench CJ and start Davis Mills

  3. Coach up CJ and hope that he improves

    38.7%
  4. Sign a free agent QB

    12.9%
  5. Trade for a QB

    41.9%

I would trade Mills plus a 5th for Brissett and have him ready for another CJ collapse. My dream of getting the little skinny coach from Miami to come coordinate the offense has sailed because LAC went that route.

We’re going to disagree. Our WR room is better than the Pats and Broncos without a doubt.
    Packers have more overall depth.
Pats rushing rank was almost identical to ours up until the last game .
Broncos is aided by a mobile QB and not ranked much higher than ours on the season

Nico didn't play in the pats game, he doesn't count. Neither did the TE. Why would you count the players who didn't play? They didn't help CJ from the sideline

No SB is easy but I mean, yeah dude cmon.

Our defense was historically great. Yes I think we win that game and make it to the SB with Josh Allen.

try to extend CJ on a Daniel Jones level contract (I don't think CJ would accept that but maybe)

We don't have to do this here - but I would suggest you hold a draft of all the available skill players on those teams and, after Nico goes #1, note how many players you'd draft before you got to the next Texan (Schultz, maybe?). You're not drafting potential (as I think Higgins will be beast before long) but off of 2025 production.

Off the top of my head... there are at least 11 players I'd take after Nico but before another Texan. And I would trade our offensive line for any of their offensive lines so quickly, you would have to invent a new way to measure time.

Those QBs have SIGNIFICANT advantages. Come on... Stroud has Nico & a nice (not great) tight end. Nothing else on the Texans' offense stresses a defense in the least.

Higgins and Marks would go higher than you’re saying.
Boutte is the number 2 on the Pats, that’s not good. Henry and Schultz are a wash.
Denver doesn’t have a single upper tier WR. Their TE is average. Their run game is comparable.
Nico is by far the best receiver of all those teams I mentioned. And outside of maybe Green Bay, there isn’t a number 2 that is much better at all than Higgins.

not extending him until after 26 cause the way he looked was not worth extending at all. Give him another season to see if he can rebound. He has no choice but to

To me, this is the issue. I don’t think CJ ever fully recovered from the concussion he took earlier in the yr.

As RG III said, he was out 3 weeks, normally a player is out 1-2 weeks. I think the first step is, he needs to go get fully checked out.

We need to go back and assess how we got here. People forget, CJ never praticipated in OTAs, which was a big talking point. Then he didn't throw as much in Training Camp either, coupled that with a new OC and learning a new system, which resulted in a slow start, 0-3.

When he did finally started to get rolling, he suffered a concussion, which held him out for nearly 4 weeks....THAT WAS NOT A NORMAL CONCUSSION. When he did get back, he played Ok but his accuracy was off. And remember, in the KC game he took a lot of shots. So, we don't know if a hit he took may have triggered it or what.

Am I pissed and upset that we lost, of course but I think we need to all calm down and lets look at this in its totality.

When you know you cant win a championship with your QB, is it best to just not try anything new and keep wasting seasons? As Caserio said, that team was as good as any team in the NFL, but you cant turn the ball over and win games in the playoffs. CJ's broken and IMHO you can find QB's that will take care of the ball.

This is exactly what I think the team and CJ are dealing with. He needs a "thorough" neurological/psychological workup. And I mean thorough. To listen to him talk, one would conclude that he is "low functioning." I know, CJ never sounded like the brightest bulb in the box, BUT now he sounds even slower. He uses more "fillers" (you know) than ever. Conclusion: CJ is not "right," and there may be treatments that can bring him back. He doesn't even seem to realize how "awful" he was in the last two games.

C.J will be the starter, the best way to help would be to fire Jerod Johnson. Hire a veteran qb coach. Re-sign Ingram. Sign Tyler Linderbaum or Connor McGovern and draft Francis Mauigoa

Not gonna lie I might take Henderson over even Nico. But I have a hard on for good running backs and he’s as explosive as they come.

Also, James Cook is fantastic. You’re significantly underselling him.

Cook is top tier, Henderson I think will be good but he wasn’t great this year.
What I’m saying is the supporting cast isn’t deep or much better if at all than what we have
