Honestly over a third of Jabari's shots are from the midrange too.

We have enough midrange on this team, we need Reed knocking down threes. The occasional middy when he's really open is fine though

Go back and WATCH the game! The Rocket's game plan was/is to put smaller players on Wemby, who can get underneath him and force him to shoot over the top. That's why we saw or at least I did, Sengun guarding Harrison Barnes.

The limited times when Capela and Sengun were on Wemby, he drove past them or tried to post up and that's not Ime wanted.....go back and watch

This is a very Amen-centric view. While what is good for Amen is generally good for the Rockets, Amen all the time on ball is not good right now. Amen is not good enough to be a heliocentric PG. Reed isn't either. The Rockets are best when they use a variety of different guys and move the ball.

Reed is about the same on PnR three as he is on spot-ups. Your eye ball test is way off. Stats suggests catch and shoot slightly better than pullup(40% vs 42%, but Reed is basically an elite shooter from three in almost every situation with significant attempts except tight coverage. I don't see much difference in Reed's pullups from isolating and PnR. As Reed can get 3 point shots from PnR, wanting 3 point shooters to shoot 3 pointers would suggest Reed doing PnRs is fine.

The only reason not to want Reed getting on ball reps is that one wants Amen to get nearly every on ball rep. Sure, Amen not being able to make threes makes him a liability often when he's off-ball. Amen's weakness should not be used as an excuse not to develop Reed. There are plenty of minutes such that Amen and Reed should both get plenty of on-ball reps to develop.

Reed is shooting 40% on dribble pull ups and 41% on catch and shoot.

He has the highest percentage on the team of guys who are regular rotation players on dribble pull up threes.

He's the second best pnr ball handler behind KD. Hes in the 70th percentile. The next player after him is sengun who is in the 58th percentile. KD is in the 82nd percentile btw.

KD, Sengun and Amen all average more turnovers as the pnr ball handler as well. KD is just such an amazing scorer so he still ranks ahead of Reed as a pnr ball handler.

When Reed is in the game he absolutely needs to be the one initiating the offense. In that last game Reed was initiating almost every possession when he was on the floor.

Also, Amen is ranked lower as a pnr ball handler than Sengun albeit on much higher volume.

"Heliocentric"? No one's good enough to be something if they have to look up the word to figure out what it is. :p

But, yes, having Amen at de facto PG lurches the entire roster over and dilutes his strengths (namely, defense).

I cant say I love how you idiots will get proven wrong and still double down on your nonsense. It gives small dick energy lol "go rewatch it" as if we not only ddint watch good enough but we also dont have the stats to back up how full of **** you are. We were lost as a team without Sengun. Sengun had a near triple double last night and we wouldve lost without him this game. Cut the bullshit. Is Sengun perfect? no but he's a impact player that does things to help you win games and I just cant for the life of me understand the hate and made up narratives around him.
