Who got the most snow in Upstate New York? One Central NY town got 42 inches https://www.syracuse.com/weather/20...in-upstate-new-york-1-town-got-42-inches.html related:
As long as I don't lose power, I am just going to chill on Sunday at the house. Monday should be interesting getting on the beltway to go to work at 6am
Right in time for the winter storm, they are talking about costs of electricity and gas going up up up. And, the impact for customers will be felt in future bills...not all at once...but spread across monthly bills to make it seem lighter....lighter in our wallets. That's in addition to whatever this storm is going to cost us. Good luck, everybody, in the path of this storm! Don't fail us now, ERCOT.
Most H-Town area school districts closing on Monday. https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/.../541455/houston-school-closures-winter-storm/ +Alvin ISD per my wife
Humble ISD has already called Monday. Good call I think. But the hoarding water and toilet paper is bizarre...yet predictable. We're talking about 24 hours below freezing - basically Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon. How many dumps are you planning on taking in that 24-hour period??
The name of this storm is “Fern.” Also, I think it may snow about a week from now in Houston. You have been warned!
Marble Falls HEB was completely sold out of TP, milk and eggs, with minimal bread; as of yesterday afternoon. Up here it's 3 days of freeze (~Sat noon to Tues noon) instead of 1, but still...these people are idiots
Some university PhD student should do a study on the mindset of Houstonians when it comes to panick buying specifically toilet paper, eggs, bread, and milk during any type of inclement weather.
If I was part of big grocery, I'd pay the weather manipulators good money for these types of storms. Help clear out my shelves.
Nice! Love that cut. Pot of chilli and cornbread for me. Maybe a pot of pintos too. I ain't cooking nothin' outdoors.
Centerpoint and the powers that be need to be on point for this. They know well ahead of time. Hope everyone conserves and stays safe.
