I don't think Jalen ever had a "vet mentor" coming into the league, he said it himself in an interview that he never had to do rookie duties or nothing. I think he turned out well despite it, in that he's arrogant or a headcase. But having Booker there instead of EGo and KPJ might do wonders for his game! I'm still rooting for him, but I hope he scores 0 points against us every single time we meet.
He had silas as a coach, and silas wanted kpj to be the man... and put jg in the corner. And neglected alp. I really hated silas.
Silas was so far out of his depth that I almost felt sorry for him. Almost. ...Ironically I think he'd be a great offensive coordinator for us this season, but that ship has loooong sailed.
Suns will get a few thrills when he has a monster game or dunk every now and then, but they'll realise eventually that the 40pt games on 60% from deep are just the fool's gold that allows him to start even when he probably shouldn't.
We never saw Jalen with floor spacers and a 5-out offense. We drafted Sengun and then Amen Thompson. We never saw him even share the floor with Sheppard last year. Maybe Jalen will thrive in the 6th man role many of you guys projected for him.
