I said this is the Steven injury thread. He's a great backup, but the double-big is overly reliant on rebounds, which means it fails if you face a team that shoots well... like most playoff teams do. You can have 2 bigs if they complement each other, but Sengun and Steven are too similar - neither of them stretch the floor or play above the rim.
Sengun started the season (and Euro league) great with his perimeter shooting, but did coaching staff undo what he was doing during the summer?
The Rockets need a 2 way SG with size. A PG would be even better. Use picks to get it done. The Rockets overcame a big mental block to win the game tonight. The 1st quarter was awful.
And the funny thing is, I feel like our shots started going in once the defense picked up. I think this is legit one of those teams that need to lock in on defense to galvanize their offense. I really hope this is the start to something fun!

Tari is always the difference maker. He brings defensive intensity we miss since DBrooks left but is also a much better player than Brooks. Just expect a couple bonehead plays a game and risk of Mr Glass syndrome but otherwise he is great.
