    And for all of us who believe you don't fire coaches just because they doesn't smile for the camera, or drink beer after the game, then we can all look forward to a nice interview where he can shed light on the team we all love.

    I have two cities I love. Two greatestest cities and I hope he will develop that love also.

    One sidenote that one of the hosts said before the interview is that "Houston probably will never love Gundy because every game is game 7 for him. They are not use to that down there. They are really laid back and Gundy might rub the fans the wrong way."

    Good point.

    But the other host made an excellent point. He said "if T-Mac...who is as laid back as there is...signs and request to be traded there, everyone else can't complain about his tough coaching style."

    Houston would love Van Gundy if he won. Everyone loves a winner. So far, that hasn't happened yet. A first round in the playoffs satisfies only people with the most modest expectations.

    First of all, when I say win, I don't necessarily mean the championship. Last year the Rockets limped into the playoffs and were eliminated in four games. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about.

    Also, Phil Jackson won the championship in his first year with the Lakers.

    Also , he had the 2 best players at their respective positions playing at the top of their game.

    JVG is the most overated coach in the business, his demeanor does nothing to enhance him in the public's eye.

    His type of coaching works for a team of prepetual losers for a while, until they start ignoring his quips, by just saying " ah that is just our moody coach".

    JVG will not win here in Houston, the next guy might, but JVG...never.
