If I remember correctly a few teams were trying to move up to get Stroud, if the Texans passed up on him at #2. There is no question that if the a Texans take Will Anderson Jr. at pick 2; a bidding war ensues and the haul for the pick become much higher than what the a Texans ultimately gave up to get Will Anderson.

The reason I was 100% with trading up to get Will Anderson was because it was apparent that DeMeco identified him as a catalyst for the type of defense he wanted to build. I mean you bring in a head coach and you hired him for a reason. DeMeco was going to bring defensive aptitude; it was apparent Will Anderson was his hand picked choice.

Most of these draft picks don't even end being good. I think the NFL over values picks.

Yeah it’s almost like the ole saying, “a bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush.” Will Anderson was as close to a bird in the hand as you could get in the NFL draft.

Pay this man and if Mugatu tries to squeeze us for CJ then say sorry ‘coffee is for closers!’

Pay the man early, he`s earned it and he is the face of this franchise. Micah P makes $46 million a year, Hutchinson makes $45 million a year, TJ makes 41 and Myles makes $40 million a year (thought this was more)

I am a homer but I think WAJ is better than all 4, but dam that's a ton of money to pay one guy...............pay him early and get a small break ?

Gotta pay the man. Atleast we dont have a high paying QB yet to worry about now or within the next 5 years

Pay him and identify a cheap QB for the next few years. We wont win giving CJ the money Dak is getting. Maybe a team will trade a decent pick to try and fix CJ.

So what are we thinking--5/$250M or 6/$300M? I expect he'll set a new level and $50M blows past Micah. I know that's a chunk of change, but he is not only the face of our franchise--he's our LEADER!
