Del knows how to coach a big man, and his experience with Chinese national team showed his ability to coach Yao.

Del knows how to anchor defense around the big man like yao, and more importantly, he knows offense much better than JVG.

Del's game is more fun to watch. This team currently has two of the most popular players in the leauge but the Toyota Center is just not as crowded as it should be. I am not owing this soly to JVG's defensive philosophy, but I believe it is one of the reasons.

Del has had a good relationship with Rockets and he also works hard as JVG.

Del was also a much better scout than JVG. Del is nice to the young players and it will be good for them to develop. I think the reason why Griffin went crazy was partly due to JVG's over-strictness. I am really tired of JVG's old buddy team. I wish we could also find someone like Josh Howard or Marquis Daniels to fill in our weakest link (i.e.PG, PF).

I am not saying JVG is bad for this team, but Del Harris is simply better.

Id be willing to bring in Del as an assistant. He can run the Offense and JVG can run the D. Like football.

But why would you want Del Harris as the Nets' head coach? I thought you have this Lawrence Frank guy...

I am pretty calm now. Actually I was pretty calm after the bitter loss to the Hawks.
I have been a fan of JVG, but I just think Del is much better for this team.
We have argubly the best lethal weapon at SG and the second best at C, but look at our offense, it is just not impressive as it should be.

    1. As far as I'm concerned Mel Gibson is still the best lethal weapon.

    2. Del Harris is the Maverick's defensive coordinator. Yikes.

I think we should bring in Bill Walton. Yao is guaranteed to get 50 touches a game, even if he has to dribble the ball up the court himself.

Bill is too enthusiastic a Yao fan to be a head coach.

I'd take Del Harris over JVG in a second (like ya'll aren't suprised) :)

But Del Harris actually has an impressive resume. Check it out:

Oh and Bill Walton? Come on "Worst coach in NBA History." :D

Man, if only we could get the Great Mike Dunleavy to coach here. You know, the guy who almost got the Rockets gig last year? The coach who led a talented Clippers team to a 28-54 record last year? Man, that would just be... awesome.

Wow, his blistering 556-457 career record really impresses me. As does his staggering 38-50 career record in the playoffs. Not to mention he's made the NBA Finals once in 13 years (despite making the playoffs 11 times out of those 13 years). Awesome! Sign him up!! I'm super-hyper-mega excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
