Whatever happened to Adam Wexler? He used to be on the morning show back in the day and seemed like a pretty knowledgable guy. I wonder if he'll be over at the new station.
I sure hope so, that guy was great during draft time with the Rockets. That was a guy with great knowledge, last I heard he was writing for Space City Sports.
Yeah, I like Adam a lot. He was such a Horn fan, and he still rooted for the Titans. Last I saw he was writing for Space City Sports. He was really smart. If I remember it didn't sound like he left on good terms, but I could be wrong.
The guy was a complete jackass. I went to one of the listener appreciation events at 6400 Sports Cafe. I saw Adam and went to shake his hand. As he got close, I stuck out my hand and said how much I liked his show...he walked right on by. Worst part was that he was looking right at me as he walked by!!!! My friend vowed never to listen to his show again.

Unless he desperately wants to get back on the "talent" side, probably not. Wexler is a producer at Ch2, and was last seen during Wragge's "Sports Apprentice" bit
Chance, are we ever gonna get the low down? I thought you said that after last week you would be able to talk? I understand you have to maitain professionalism but we could still hear a little something something after the fact.
Since this is the official "Let Chance know whats on your mind" thread... I'm going to have my whole network set up by later today. If you have anybody in mind that deserves "VIP status" (ie: I think you said Sean..and if you have anyone else in mind) I can set it up to make sure they get in no matter how many are connected.
I hear ya. Here is where we are, based on what I CAN say. Charlie Palillo is still an Infinity employee. Technically he is in the midst of a 20 day negotiating period in which we can counter his offer from the other guys. Realistically, this deal is not going to get done, regardless of what we offer him. We have a plan put together that involves some of our existing talent getting restructured deals. The deals have to be restructured because we are going to be doing new things with them. Most of them will be staying in their current day part but the actual hours will be lengthened. One of them will most likely be moving day parts. Barrons info was not right, BTW. He missed a bunch. We are also bringing in an unknown.
I tell you what, fellas...the more I listen to the Don and Mike Show the more I like it. They have a great rapport and keep the show moving at a great pace. Dumb ass callers aren't allowed to go on and on (a fault of 610, imo). I'm sure part of that reason is they are national and likely have a board full of calls they can always go to. I doubt that's always the case for a local station like 610 or 740 all of the time.
Is he still "negotiating"? 610 Just isn't the same without Charlie...David Dalati might be a good reporter but he SUCKS as a Host!
The announcement must be getting close. Lance actually said CP was gone, and wished him well on the air this morning. As to Dalati, I think it is safe to say he will not be moving into the host chair on a full-time basis.
I can't stand Dalati, he doesn't mind just tearing into a callers take. I heard him last night just tear into this guy about Tech. Saying how there is no way Tech could ever be in the recruiting ranks of UT, AM, and OK. I'm sure they were saying the same thing about K-State 10 years ago. Stick to 'Live from (Minute Maid, Toyota Center, ect....) this is David Dalati.
