    Most Americans even those who consider themselves liberal Dems believe this seriously ! Sort of like Israelis indoctrinated to the point that they support Israeli genocide yet still see themselves as perpetual victims. Americans can believe we have occasionally made a mistake especially mainly many years ago.

    My brother who was a nurse tried for some reasona work to have a brief discussion about the wmd Iraq fraud war. A woman nurse told him that she could only figure out that Dubya started the war because "he loves the Iraqi people so much. Shocked, he burst out laughing. The woman nurse hated him ever after.

    Taking Greenland is just wrong. It clearly violates international law. Therefore, like Ukraine there should be no negotiation and the Europeans should be willing to give Greenland weapons and money to fight till the last Greenlander.

    If you can't agree to this you are just a Trumpista.

    It's a strange times when Congress won't come together an actually stop this crazy **** the administration is spewing. Republicans must really be in line with this nutcase. I am feeling numb about the repercussions of this administration. As if there was ever any doubt about Project 2025 or Agenda 47, but seeing it come to fruition is scary. I don't want to live in a world where I am really disliked overseas. I definitely need to get my Mexican citizenship

    Based on what I’ve seen so far I think you are right. Except the true idiots like Tommy Tubberville all of the R senators know how ridiculous this is. Yet in the delegation that just went to Europe only Lisa Murkowski was there to show solidarity with our allies.

    I just can’t believe that the ceo class in this country has bowed to Trump more than anything. I can see the politicians being scared of Trump but how is it that the ceo of Lockheed Martin is willing to sit there and on his watch allow the sitting president to throw out half of the revenue their company was banking on the next 5 years if they blow up nato?? Make it make sense except for maybe people like this guy are also in the cult and put Trump above their own bottom line… nothing really makes sense anymore so I guess you are probably right.

    Is there a point where Republicans would actually stand up to Trump? I genuinely am not sure they'd stand up to him under any circumstances in any meaningful way besides maybe some comments about being concerned.

    The same thing happened in the Third Reich. Mostly the industrialists were so full of themselves that they thought they were in control of Hitler and could easily manipulate him however they wanted until one day they woke up and diccovered they weren't and they couldn't.

    The CEO calculation is simple. The POTUS can bankrupt them and, worse, have the DOJ go after them individually. They all have a lot to lose, living a life of extreme wealth, and most are not brave enough to take the risk to do the right thing.

    And then there's the duty they signed up for. Do whatever is in the best interest of the company, and that sometimes means kissing up or laying low.
