His last few press conferences seemed like he’s annoyed with the team. If burrow just flat out says I want out and this team sucks. Texans need to go Mike ditka on the offer.

Cincy brought back the head coach, defense sucks more than anything.

Burrow on this team with this defense would be elite

There are a lot of people that will scream, EXCUSES! but we can't let whatever ire we have for Stroud - legtimate as it may be - cloud the fact that the offense around him is bad. It's built on two terrific WRs that can't stay healthy; pedestrian RBs and a bad offensive line.

We can jump up and down to upgrade the QB all we want - and maybe it would move the needle. But if that "better" QB is throwing to Xavier Hutchinson and Christian Kirk in the playoffs, or handing off to Woody Marks, or watching the IOL get shoved into his lap... maybe the inevitable loss in the divisional round isn't as ugly - but, make no mistake: they're not going to get much farther.

The organization has handcuffed itself with a terrible offensive supporting cast.

Putting anymore effort into CJ is a sunk cost fallacy, he will never be what we want him to be, he is just another dude who lacks leadership skills and is a very poor decision maker.

He doesn't audible, he doesn't read defenses, can't find the hot route, takes too many sacks and doesn't protect the ball - he is 100% a bust as the number 2 pick.

At this point Davis Mills is a better QB......

We need an upgrade at that spot, **** FEELINGS this defense and team is good enough with a competent QB.

Jalen Green and CJ have the same issues they aren't that smart, and they are not DIE TO WIN guys....they are just another dude.

    Great Assessment
Ironically the people that defend both of them are the same.
They ignore all of the players faults and blame EVERYONE else around them for their demeanor and bad play

Good points and again he needs a veteran oc to help him understand not a young oc that is still trying to understand their new job..

The Texans have to make a choice on if they want Stroud or Caley...

If they keep Caley they will have to get a veteran qb..

If they keep Caley they need to hire a veteran oc.

You have no idea if he audibles nor do you know if he can read defenses. They cut their sack total in half this year; he cut his interception rate; only fumbled twice all year; had his highest EPA and highest completion percentage.

I get the ending was a dumpster fire but what games was everyone else watching? Because while I certainly saw a flawed QB - especially early - I never saw the QB you all claim to have seen.

And Harden was actually decent to good in the early rounds before cratering.

I'm not defending Stroud and I think he needs to go, but a massive part of the problem is Nick Caserio screwing up drafting Kenyon Green at 15 and Blake Fisher at 59. Those misses in the draft are a big part of the current problem. When you draft an interior offensive lineman that high you are expecting a pro bowl caliber player. Green instead was a total bust. Fisher was getting bullied damn near every play when he came in at RT when Howard was injured.

They need to bring in an offensive line expert to help pick the right people to sign and or draft.

Stroud is similar to Goff. He needs an elite offensive line to succeed. We don't have that. So either fix the o-line and hope Stroud can return to form, or get a new QB that can move around and has some escapability to deal with a bad offensive line.

I think he was hanging out with Jeremy Lin, he needs to hang out with Harden or Vernon Maxwell.

Stroud did not win 10 in a row. Mills won 3 of those.

Stroud's story has been written. It will just take some people longer than others to understand it. There is no offensive line, supporting cast or coach that can fix what he has. He may possibly be able to turn himself into a Trent dilfer or sage rosenfels type QB some day but it will take a lot of rewiring to get him there. He does not have the gene necessary to be any more than that.

I mentioned this in another thread - but Caserio also used the 79th overall pick in this past draft on a *second* WR, playing a position you just spent $$ on in free agency (Kirk), who saw 6 snaps yesterday - with Nico and then Schultz out - and 35 targets all year.

And don't even get me started on the fact 3/5 of their opening day OL was either traded, cut or benched by miseason.

CJ is going to dominate the conversation this offseason - but it better not bury how horrible Nick Caserio's offseason was.

    Loss of good line play
    Loss of Tank Dell
    Loss of Diggs
    Loss of Mixon
    Loss of Nico
Playing with rookies (Marks, Higgins and Noel)
    No SPEED at WR
    Rookie OC

Not making excuses, CJ messed up BIG-TIME on yesterday but every player needs help. Maye had all of his weapons and even when Burrow has his weapons, they are still a .500 team.

The turnovers were all on CJ but I laugh because people think he's suppose to make plays with what was on the field on yesterday, playing in those conditions. Do I give him an extension now? No way but I think you have to bring him back.

Texans need to get an experienced OC, draft an OL and bring in more Weapons.
