You are flat wrong. Legal residents are being detained and their rights are being abridged based merely on suspicion, according to their appearance, language, accent. And don’t change the subject with your insipid straw-man about open borders. The majority of Americans are decent people opposed to your ugly agenda, and they aren’t for “open borders”.

Flouting people’s rights is a choice by the administration, not a “mistake”. “Open borders” means anyone can come and go without restrictions. Obviously that is an extreme position that few people actually support. There is a huge range of policy choices between “open borders” and what the Trump regime is implementing. The previous administration did not support “open borders”. That’s just inaccurate partisan rhetoric. Millions were still expelled. Reversing some questionable policies in place from the prior Trump administration, combined with other global factors not under their control, definitely contributed to the surge. It is entirely consistent to find fault with them and still not agree with masked officers pulling non-violent immigrants from their cars, homes, and court hearings and disappearing them from the families indefinitely,
