With Nix injury whomever wins game tomorrow will be heavily favorited in Denver in the AFC Championship. DD
Man, now I'm extremely nervous for tomorrow. It really feels like the seas have parted for us this season.
Freak injury. Denver really should have a more experienced backup. That’s on them if Stidham performs badly.
I think we'll win if CJ doesn't turn it over. Hopefully Nick Caley puts together a plan that helps to reduce CJ's ability to make catastrophic errors. Obviously our D must play great. We have a great shot to come out with the win.
It is kind of sad that most posters think the Texan's greatest weakness is CJ. Surely he won't have a game like last week. I have such fond memories of his rookie season. It was magical. I think the concussions have greatly affected him.
I really don’t know what happened to CJ. But I think he was HEAVILY mentally affected when he lost Tank Dell to injury since they were best friends. And that really messed up his decision making and overall alertness levels.
Interesting take. No doubt, he has seen a lot of receiver injuries.. He used to be jovial, more upbeat. Now, he strikes me a slightly depressed. Flat affect. I think it is the residuals of the concussions, but you make a good point.
Ok so the hot rumor is Mugatu or someone close to him told CJ not to scramble and put his body on the line until he has a contract. They brought up Lamar during the 2022 season when he went down. He missed 5 games plus the WC. His injury was supposed to be 1-4 weeks. 2023 Lamar signs a fat deal and wins MVP.
For all the bad executions Stroud had in Pittsburgh, watching an MVP in Josh Allen make similar mistakes today should provide some ease of mind knowing even really good players are capable of awful days. That intentional fumble at the end of the first half cost them their season.
