Steve I erased my post because it had nothing to do with what you were stating. Motivation i see that now. I read a post earlier where somebody was stating that how can you catch a rhythm when you are getting pulled. Which is true. I do believe ime has longer leash for other Rockets than Reed, but how do we know other coaches wouldn't pull him out as well
Yanked? I observed them and Kerr never really played Kuminga. Hield is over 30.....nobody cares about him.
3 straight 3s in 2 minutes of play in the first. Imagine sticking with you shooters imagine riding with them during their ups and downs imagine not thinking that's worth the investment in a team starved for 3 pt shooting more than any other team in the league
Maybe the wrong term than. Reed has it going right now which is great. I was watching a Golden State game and Hield was in at i think 2 plays later after 2 missed shots he was subbed out and never saw the game again. Kuminga was played in the beginning of this season, but Kerr said that he didnt like the way the ball movement and spacing was with kuminga, Jimmy, and draymond. He also stated the defense efficiency. So maybe yeah I used the wrong term, but those players are apart of a Steve Kerr team. Just giving examples of players being in the doghouse on every team. Kyle Kuzma has been in doc rivers doghouse as well.
It can be very very simple, for at least marginal improvement: Rockets biggest issue now is they just cant make shots. Empower Reed on offense, who provides biggest need. And live with it either as #3 seed or a #9 seed It doesn't matter today if Reed is a star or a bust. Zero other Rockets get clean offense now. His current shooting skills are needed in the immediately.
Yes, I think they played Kuminga when he was a rookie. Once they got Butler, Kuminga was redundant and collecting DNPs......
https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...-3-pointers-defense-timberwolves-21300201.php “Reed was the reason we got going, I think,” Durant said. “Coming in hitting those three 3s, that got energy into the building, energy into us as a group, then I came after that and hit a couple 3s as well. The 3-point line is huge for us. We’re going to need guys to knock them down. I think that just opens up our whole game.” “He adds another dimension to our team. We need his quick trigger from the 3, which forces the other team to switch up their defense as well, because they don’t want him to get going,” Durant said. “A lot of times, he gives us more space out there shooting the 3. I like that the comes off the bench and doesn’t disrupt what we’re doing and just adds to it.” “I think the main thing with him is being solid and not fouling and the reach-ins, being solid there and not bailing guys out,” Udoka said. “He has really good hands and gets a lot of loose balls, but the fouls on shots is something that hurts us as a team in general. He needs to find the balance of being aggressive and when to go after those steals.”
Durant likes that he isn't taking away his shine with the starters.....lol. It was too early to trade for Durant, we would be a better team with just staying with development - guys need to touch the ball and Durant is just a ball stopper who is lousy at passing. Great he gets his numbers but the team is worse because of it. Now we know why Reed isn't starting it is KD, as Ime is a Star ****er.... DD
