Amazon MGM Studios has released a first official look at “Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner as Lara Croft in the new “Tomb Raider” live-action TV series coming to Prime Video. Production on the series is about to get underway in the UK, and the photo is from a wardrobe test for the character, with a design harkening back to the original “Tomb Raider” games as opposed to the more modern reboot. The series, which is expected to feature Lara Croft as an established adventurer and archaeologist and to have a 1990s vibe, was first announced in January 2023. It is rumoured to involve Norse Mythology and Ragnarok, but will not be tied to the “Tomb Raider: Underworld” game that was Norse-themed. Joining Turner will be Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bobb-Semple, Bill Paterson, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Celia Imrie, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed and August Wittgenstein. British actress/writer and Emmy winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge created, wrote scripts, and executive produces the series. Chad Hodge is also on board as executive producer and co-showrunner. The “Tomb Raider” series is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video sometime in 2027. https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-photo-sophie-turner-in-tomb-raider/
[pushes glasses up to bridge of nose] In that case, it's all about the number of polygons. I used to do some animation back when it was very primitive, and my supervisor was always like "great, now do that with just 12 polygons!" Because that's the only way you could get it to animate without significant chugging. So, someone, somewhere, bless them, once had to see if they could make boobs with just like 4-6 polygons. Haha.
