Nowhere in there does it ALLOW the Federal government to violate the 4th amendment. Nowhere does it place citizenship into tiers. This abuse is unconstitutional and should be stopped.
First we should have a national discussion and form a consensus on our immigration situation. The Rs certainly do not want this discussion and to a lesser extent the Ds also do not want. Both parties want to fund raise on the issue. Most Americans are OK with non-citizens working ag sector jobs with non-citizens working new house construction with non-citizens cutting their lawn with non-citizens who are employed with fake SS numbers for "decades" Most Americans are not OK with non-citizens committing serious crimes with non-citizens taking jobs that Americans are willing to do with non-citizens entering the country without a job offer/prospect The far right wants all non-citizens to leave. The far left wants open borders. Most Americans do not support the extreme positions. For the non-citizens that most American are OK with, we need to a pathway to them having a legal status (something like a green card). The other non-citizens should not be employable and should be deported or self deport.
I don't belong to an illegal immigrant association. I said I am working to help protect people from ICE. Mostly it means advising people on their constitutional rights and working to distribute that information.
I'm not denying any of what you posted. But none of these women were getting in people's faces. Shoving phones in people's faces. And allegedly using cars as barriers. I'm not disagreeing with you but I'm just stating those were truly peaceful protests. The anger on both sides is much higher now days. The Internet has changed everything.
No. It wouldn't be. The rights provided by the constitution is what helps protect people from the abuse. Making them aware of those rights is lawful.
Advising people of their rights is not obstruction. The government should be in that business, lol. Should the government be in the business of stomping on people's rights?
Please tell me when that has ever worked to bring about change. It didn't work for civil rights, police reform, etc.
Can't wait for the day when executive in power cracks down on undocumented firearms, sends ATF into rural cities to stop and frisk anyone that might have firearms, go into houses without warrants to look for them and kills anyone that resists. Cause that's basically what the right is asking for by sidestepping the Constitution.
But if you have a pathway to citizenship, and they become citizens, then those jobs you listed (construction, landscaping, farming, etc) dry up because their bosses can't afford to pay them any longer. It's something of a catch 22, and circles the wagons, economically.
