I responded earlier on this but the supposed "gotcha" picture frame of the angle behind that is often used to show proof that he wasn't hit is actually very very unreliable and this is based on AI analyzing the pictures. Limitations of this angle Perspective distortion The camera appears offset and slightly behind the vehicle. This compresses depth, making it hard to judge true distance between the officer and the front of the car.
You might want to watch the video again. The ICE agent initiated the contact as the teen moved in front while filming but still going backwards. The ICE agent rapidly changed pace and initiated the content. You're just making stuff up to apparently rationalize what is happening.
At a certain point, somewhere along the two spectrums of legal --- illegal and moral --- immoral, yeah, I'm 100% fine with citizens interfering. And honestly, given your background, you should be too. What's the point of owning all those guns if you're not going to use them to defend yourself and your fellow citizens against a runaway government?
no I clearly saw the ICE agent making a beeline towards the entrance of the store until he was aggressively sidebumped by the person that was committing a crime by assault with that action
wondering what kind of people ICE has been hiring lately... Journalist Passes ICE Background Check Despite Weed in Her System, Antifa Support Journalist Laura Jedeed should be considered a domestic terrorist, according to the Donald Trump administration's warped metric ... but she tells "TMZ Live," she was hired by ICE anyway! This is a wild story ... Laura was curious about how diligent the Dept. of Homeland Security is about screening ICE candidates during the agency's current hiring surge ... so she took a skills-based resume to a jobs event to find out how she'd fare. Despite maintaining an online portfolio chock-full of Trump hate and anti-ICE sentiment, Jedeed -- who says she has her own page on an Antifa watch website -- passed ICE's shoddy screening process with flying colors. As a veteran of the U.S. military, Jedeed may look like a good candidate at a cursory glance. But, she says ... "If you type my name into a computer, you will immediately find that I am very vocal about how I feel about ICE, how I feel about Trump. I've written articles with titles like, 'What I Saw in L.A. Wasn't An Insurrection, It Was a Police Riot.' I am simply not what they are looking for." Jedeed suspects fast-food chains have a tighter selective hiring process. DHS responded to Jedeed's story, saying, “This is such a lazy lie. This individual was NEVER offered a job at ICE. Applicants may receive a Tentative Selection Letter following their initial application and interview, that is not a job offer. It just means they are invited to submit information for review, similar to any other applicant.” But Jedeed clapped back with a video of herself logging into ICE's portal, where she was greeted with a graphic welcoming her to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, with an onboarding date and everything. Pretty damning evidence, guys!
Yes. I am. The civil rights movement knowingly broke the law. That is why it succeeded. It was the plan of Martin Luther King Jr and other civil rights leaders to knowingly and non-violently break the law and expose government authorities for what they were doing. In fact he said people had a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. "An unjust law is no law at all," - Martin Luther King Jr.
The only time I want to use my firearms is if someone is actively breaking into my home and I need to protect my family that would be it. I hardly go target shooting anymore. I think we need to take a step back and realize that fighting ICE in the streets and committing crimes is not going to go anywhere- just do it in the court what's wrong with doing it in the courts... if you want to protest, do it on the sidewalk in a rational method, but you're not winning any one on your side by the vandalism, cursing, spitting, using shovels, using cars to impede .... especially when there are actual violent, criminals being caught -that does not persuade me or anyone that might be on the fence. if your side is calm, collected, I think there's more people that are willing to take the political divide seriously
Your eyes see something different, then. I can't help you. Will you at least acknowledge the agent suddenly and rapidly changed pace just prior to the contact?
Why do you need to know. I'm definitely involved in helping protect people from ICE. I'm not breaking any laws. But you have a weird interpretation of the law calling incidental and harmless contact assault. By the way ICE didn't think it was assault either or they would have arrested the teenager.
Out of that came this: ICE refers to immigrants as "targets" in their operational literature. The car had multiple federal law enforcement patches from different agencies. There were multiple license plates. Death skull challenge coins. Daily operational with names and phone numbers of people, including judges. (In Wildand Fire, our shift plans once had similar info, but over the years we learned that we needed to handle names and phone numbers with more care, in part due to the anti-gov/militia types who were trying to get the info. That ICE is this careless is not surprising.) Radio frequencies. (Another thing we keep to ourselves in wildland fire.) Kind of funny that these hard dudes with all their weaponry gear just noped out of there and left their rigs. Another example of excellent training.
it was enough of a action to warrant being detained- And I think they let the person off easy cause they could've charged assault by definition of the law - If you don't believe me, go inside bump into a police officer you might or might not be arrested but you could. It's good that you admit to individually NOT breaking any laws... and I truly hope that is the case -I hope you keep it that way- My only concern is that you advocate others to break laws which is very concerning from a legal standpoint and very irresponsible as it puts their lives and the lives of agents in jeopardy- it could put you under investigation. I am curious what illegal immigrant association you belong to - I would like to look into their practices for sure so I can make a judgment on my own
The ice protestors aren't breaking unjust laws. They're breaking just laws to stop the government from breaking just laws or otherwise curtail immoral behavior.
I think it comes down to politics- certain people don't like the law - well too bad your side lost ... Fighting ICE in the streets does nothing but embarrass your side and will not move the needle 1. Constitutional Basis Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution gives Congress the power to: Establish a uniform rule of naturalization Regulate immigration as part of national sovereignty Immigration enforcement is therefore a federal power, not a state one. 2. Statutory Authority (Main Legal Justification) Immigration and Nationality Act The INA (Title 8 of the U.S. Code) is the primary law governing immigration. Key provisions ICE relies on: 8 U.S.C. § 1103 Gives the Secretary of Homeland Security authority to enforce immigration laws ICE operates under DHS 8 U.S.C. § 1226 Authorizes arrest and detention of non-citizens pending removal proceedings 8 U.S.C. § 1231 Authorizes detention and removal (deportation) after a final order of removal 8 U.S.C. § 1357 Allows ICE officers to: Question individuals about immigration status Arrest non-citizens without a warrant if they believe the person is removable and likely to escape Execute administrative immigration warrants (not criminal warrants)
great article about somebody who signed up for ICE to write an article about how easy it is to get a job at ICE (basically they take any loser): https://slate.com/news-and-politics...ffic&utm_source=article&utm_content=copy_link
My WAG is that 99% of the protestors are calm and collected and are not breaking the law. The 1% who do break the law should face the consequences. The SCW echo chamber will only show the 1% who break the law and strongly suggest that the 1% is really the 99%. And there is a nonzero chance that SCWs are responsible for some of the protest crimes.
