You can go on and ****ing on not actually naming a single generational shooter? Kyle ****ing Lowry? LMAO. Reread the discussion, realise you're an idiot, and try again.
Yeah, I knew it would be b****es whining about that....and all of those are great generational shooters...... You said give you one, I gave you several and instead of saying...Thank you - I have learned something you lean into some BS narrative..... Casual fans....SHEESH ! You're welcome..... DD
No, you responded to me saying "generational shooters don't struggle" by naming lots of bog standard shooters who became decent. There's no whining, you're just wrong in this situation. I'll try again: NAME ME ONE ****ING EXAMPLE FROM THE ACTUAL ****ING NBA OF A GENERATIONAL SHOOTER WHO STRUGGLED, DUMBASS?
Guys don’t come in looking like all stars during their rookie years. They come in and are inconsistent as they adapt to the NBA defenses adapting to them. They generally also come in on bottom lottery teams not concerned about winning where they get all the minutes are you too young to remember curry playing behind Monta ****ing Ellis and struggling? Jesus I don’t even have to scroll too far to come up with an example. Reed is playing like ass over the last 10 games. Prior to that he was playing like a borderline AS. Most of that is on him. Some of it is on our moronic coaching.
I never said he would, why are you getting into a discussion without reading it first? I think Reed will be great, he's still not a generational shooter. That's literally it, but DD thinks Kyle Lowry is apparently so then I guess almost everybody is.
Again, f*ck off on your race baiting bs. I have never been a hater of Reed, but have been realistic about his performance and opined about what I believe his ceiling is. I’d be glad to be wrong. Being objective about players and stating opinions on their ceilings is part of the discussion here. You are the one that continues to overrate guys over and over again. Your ability to forecast player performance is a running joke here. The point I was making was clearly stated in my original post. I don’t believe Reed has done anything to cement him as a core player to build around. Is that hate or just a reasonable take?
There is no us 2 tbh. He's already lost, as soon as he named Kyle Lowry, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Chauncey Billups as generational shooters he showed he just doesn't understand what the term even means. It's a waste of time discussing further.
To be fair, Nash probably was a generational shooter. He almost averaged 50/40/90 for his career. He was not a volume three point shooter like Steph but was still generational.
No probably about it. Nash was absolutely a generational shooter. One of the best of all-time IMO. His volume was plenty for his era. He and Dirk came in in the 90s before threes were a primary weapon. He had more threes per minute than Dirk and hit a much higher percentage. If Dirk is a generational shooter then so is Nash. His highest averages in attempts came when he was ages 31-35, already on the back half of his career. If he were coming up in today's league he'd be taking at least 7 per game, I think.
Can you show stats that show how heavily he is guarded off-ball? I saw it some when he was hitting shots; now he's missing them and not a focus of the defense. Where do you get his expected 3 point percentage?
Hey everyone! Take a look at this fat cracker caricature Who is obsessed with fulfilling his Internet persona. He wants your attention and recognition. Give it to him you stupid casuals. This moron is probably working for ICE for free in his spare time.
What are your expectations of a 21 year old that is getting his first real playing time at a position he hasn't played before? I mean it is perfectly fine to complain about his bad games - but those are expected the difference is that our coach punishes him for it, and doesn't punish others...I saw the same bullshit with Cam, whom we ****ing GAVE away....guys take a while. KPJ is now a very good NBA player - he is 25 - it took him time, and his arrest probably delayed that arrival by a year -ish....the point is that most players mature and become whom they will be around 25 or so....many come in and get a ton of time right away and are leaned on heavily like Curry, and frankly Jalen Green and you can track their progress more easily as they are getting the reps, it is the guys whom coaches like Ime micromanage that are a problem. Ime thinks this is about HIM, it isn't.....he should be trying to LIFT up his team instead of keeping his jackboot on some players necks. DD
There is no probably about it, Nash was generational - as was Kobe, and Billups eventually got there as a 3pt shooter..... Arguing with children about whom is a generational (which is a personal opinion) is a complete waste of time. He got played when he pulled the BULLSHIT LAZY assed **** about not doing any research themselves and asking others to do it for them. So, I stupidly played along. DD
I never argued that he couldn’t get better or be a really good player. All I said was he hasn’t proved to be a core piece yet and you went off, even bringing race into it, which was uncalled for. As far as KPJ is concerned, I was one of the few that supported continuing to give him a chance after his locker room incident. After the second incident with his girlfriend, I felt it was time to let him go, but it had nothing to do with talent. Having an opinion contrary to your extreme glossing of Reed, is not hate it’s just an objective opinion. I have also shared your disdain for Ime, but even that is not being a hater, it is just an opinion I have reached by objectively watching his performance. You have lost your ability to be objective when it comes to Reed.
Yes and depending on his latest opinions, I’m sure it will get derailed again by all us haters or glossers.
Getting worse as the season goes on. Tired? Fatigued? Need a rest? Need a stint in the G League? Was he a flash in the pan? Need a change of scenery from Udoka? 49->47->45->42->40->? … Like if he ends the year as a 35/36/37% 3pt shooter, that is not good. Not generational, not franchise player, not rotation worthy, and most definitely a trade candidate (at $11M)
