There should be a rule about this. Like you can't pick him unless, it's a different conference. Why can't the Chargers or Jaguars pick him up.
IIRC teams that are still playing have priority with waiver claims & then eliminated teams could sign him
I think CJ might need a great performance, not just game manager mode. Of course, a lot will depend on the situation, so a close game will have us all hoping he doesn't have 5 fumbles and a pick! That said, I tend to think the Pats are good, even if unproven. McDaniels is a proven offensive schemer and real-life schemer. Our D is amazing, but amazing D's can still be had. It's not like they're going to pitch a shutout. While the hope is another Green Bay performance, Maye being mobile, picking up yards, and extending plays could lead to some big over-the-top passes this game. Hopefully 0 of those, but maybe 1 or 2. If it's 2 or more, then CJ needs to deliver to match it.
“Wins” you mean the defense bailing him out and winning in two of his three wins. It always comes back to that, give any of those guys this Texans D and they’re Super Bowl favorites
Ok and give CJ their OCs and you'd be on this forum talking about how CJ is better than the Texans QB
Always the excuse. First year in one of the most complex systems in the league for Maye, with less help at WR than CJ. Two years in a row CJ has struggled in a system that has history of working. Shanny system and McVay/McDaniels system for Caley. Maybe it’s not the OC?
If CJ has a better game than he did in Pittsburg (which shouldn't be hard to do) and the defense is the defense, the Texans will move on. Have the Pats even played a team like Houston?
As long as CJ protects the ball we should win. This defense is legendary and designed perfectly to counter the Pats. They have no depth or game breaking receivers, their run game has talent but isn’t ranked very high. Maye is a young stud, but similar to Allen we can rush 4, spy and still cover. We should win this game as long as there’s no stupid turnovers
I don’t remember his Broncos or Raider teams lighting it up on offense. I do remember his NE offense going to sh$t when the goat left.
I think he was successful with Mac Jones and I think he's helping Maye. My hope is no explosive plays, but I'm concerned about it.
Regarding Drake Maye: If the Texans can handle Josh Allen, and they have overwhelming done so twice, they can handle Drake Maye. Any of your concerns should be focused on the other side of the ball. Carry on…..
