Going back and watching snippets of the game, Davidson looked quite good. It clearly shows how much better the offense can be when they actually have players with passing abilities. At this point there is really no justification for the Rockets not to trade for a guard at the deadline. They are just so deficient in this area that even a 2-way player, an undersized combo guard, looks like an improvement out there.

Why trade for a guard if you have one on the bench in JD and you got that kid out of UConn in the Gleague which is better than him.

It seems that Stone has done his job
Why coach doesn’t play them is unclear

Let's not overreact to a random Tuesday game against the Bulls where they are missing their two primary creators( Coby White & Josh Giddey). Props to JD - he looked "ready" and capable playing one of the lower tiered team's 2nd and 3rd string players(because of injuries). I wouldn't say there are larger roster shakeups that should come based on what we learned today.

I think the lesson is - we shouldn't be scared to pull in JD from the bench when injuries, fouls, or passive performance from Reed forces us to reach deeper into the bench. Noted.

Davison is the reigning Gleague MVP so I am kind of expected him to dominate 3rd stringers.

There's only so many minutes a coach can alott to keep the continuity. Also, I think he has to play Reed Sheppard. I think the minutes Reed is getting is crucial, because we need a PG to facilitate the ball and to spread the wealth.

Everything is center around KD, thats why when he sets, the offense gets stagnant

I mean we are talking about a team that just got whacked 3 times by the Kings and the Blazers. This team isn't good enough where a nice performance against a mediocrity can just be brushed off. And no, I don't think the ROckets will shake up their roster. They look to be all in on defense and rebounding with their team building strategy. I'm just thinking they SHOULD try to pivot even if they probably aren't going to.

Because JD is still an undersized combo guard who would get demolished in the playoffs? I mean he's shown the concept of how this offense can improve. But he's not good enough to be getting real minutes in the playoffs.

This insult is great, you're both complimenting and destroying him in one sentence. It's almost British, really, well done haha.

Binkley is starting to grow on me. Calls it like it’s is. Let’s just hope he stays off the payroll unlike Feigen and some others ;)

We have gone into the playoffs many times with unproven guards particularly at the point...Matt Maloney, Sam Cassel, Allen Leavell......Davison is good enough to play point and get the ball to our shooters without turning it over too much....at least as good as FVV would and would shoot better than him.

    Okay, random thoughts
    A) FVV could return by the playoffs
    B) Newton is a full sized prospect with great upside. (Maybe long term solution type talent and ability)
    C) The rest of the squad would benefit from the ball movement. Today Tomorrow and Forever
    D) JD could / should take on a microwave type role —> size wouldn’t matter much.

This is an example of lazy logic covering for lazy coaching. If it was a priority it would happen. It should be the first priority of every single person on the staff. How do we move on from our aged superstar. How can we train our players to benefit and improve themselves by being with KD. I not against moving him for a better future. We are not getting past OKC at the moment.

Big pivot. Radical change. Trade Amen or Sengun.
