JD is not the future. Reed needs to be starting and getting better. We arent going anywhere with JD being the starting PG. But now Ime saying this, JD is going to start until he sucks now. Most stubborn coach in the league. So short sighted.
If only Amen Thompson has JD Davison shooting form. Elbow straight pointed down aiming at the rim, Legs balanced.
Why isn't he? I get it's unlikely but undrafted FAs have carved out nice careers before. I think he's been good every time I've seen him play meaningful minutes, he's 23, if he plays well then he deserves a chance to continue doing so. Yeah, Reed should get a chance too and deserves to play, they both can play.
why does it have to be one or the other? I actually enjoyed watching them play at the same time, as JD is one of the few that actually -looked- for Reed. Obviously I don’t think JD is going to turn into a star, but there’s nothing wrong with being a solid contributor off the bench if he actually did turn into something. I feel like some people on this board expect players to be either A). Super stars or B). Bums, and there’s no between. If JD can turn into a solid energy guy off the bench I’ll be thrilled.
As soon as we figure out a trade package to get rid of Okogie and get us a true SG, we will be in good shape. I am okay with packaging Okogie, Capella and DFS for an available SG that plays plus offense and average defense. We can get a third center from the scrap heap.
