i know we have a bunch of old people and stuff on our team, but damn... this ridiculous. can someone please be happy that they're playing in the nba and that we have, arguably, two of the best players in the game?

i miss cassell chest bumping an opposing defender after making a basket.

i miss francis skipping up the court or catching an alley-oop, hanging on the rim, and pointing to the passer.

i miss rudy throwing his head back and raising his hands in the air like he's in the holy spirit or something.

i miss horry throwing down a two-hander and doing the head waving side to side thing.

who is the energy guy on this team? the closest thing i've seen to one is mo-t. he has a different handshake routine before the team gets on the floor. he seems to be the only guy that has more than one facial expression while playing.

i remember when jvg first joined the rox as coach he mentioned something about someone telling him to enjoy the good times and winning as much as he despised the bad play and losing. wtf happened? is his lack of enthusiam rubbing off on his players?

it's fine seeing the players jump up and be cheerleaders on the bench, but it'd be better to have someone on the floor to do it as well. it just looks like the guys aren't having fun playing out there.

the only emotion i've seen thus far has been from our suckiest position on the floor... when ward jumped up and pumped his fists after hitting the second three in overtime versus the kings.

we went from having a young, talented, and exciting team to being old, talented, and extremely boring. yawn. i can put up with the ugly ball, but got damn man... please be excited so that i can be excited.

Boki and Padget are always playing with spike, but it's no use when sat on the bench all the time.

Where's your energy guy? They're sitting on the bench and having Bowen take their minutes.

Energy guy wouldn't have dealt with the problem of a stagnant offense when the 1st option is taken away.

Actually Bowen is the definition of "energy guy".

Having a guy running around in circles isn't nessesarily being a "energy guy."

I think Omega is looking for someone to put more spirit into the team, to hit shots, and just to boost the team up. Bowen does none of these things.

Just look when Padgett/Boki comes in and hits a shot, the crowd usually goes wild.

I was pretty excited when Bowen shut down Kobe. But i guess since theres no scoring involved thats just boring.

This team does need that energy guy, spark off the bench. Both in the backcourt and in the front court. I have been a big proponent of this!

An atheltic, long, jumping jack rebounder in the frontcourt and a guard that can penetrate and create their own offense for themselves and others would be most welcome on this team.

Getting to see the Rockets against the Hawks last night I was struck with how unathletic we are.

We have "veterans" that are supposed to be "savvy" and that is supposed to make up for our lack of athelticism. I am not sure that will happen. We are just getting KILLED in the paint in rebounding. All these young swingmen are just jumping over our forwards to get rebounds. It is killing us.

Getting Sura back will help but that isnt the full solution. Ideally if we could add an Antonio Daniels and a Stromile Swift type of players to this team I think that would be the type of players this team is really looking for.

This fact has been painfully obvious since the first game of the season, but for some reason, last night it hit me as well. At times the last few games, the team on the floor has been CWard, JHoward, Bowen, JJ, and either Tmac(with JJ substituted for Deke) or Yao. If you look at the athleticism of that squad, it has to be one of the slowest groups in the NBA.
The reason the Rockets don't win alot of loose balls is they just aren't quick enough to get to them alot of the time. Players like Al Harrington and Josh Childress are just more athletic than every Rocket but Tmac, and that can't be fixed during the season. CD really needs to find an athletic front court player (either a 3 or a 4) b/c those have been the players beating the Rockets all season.
