That Amen dunk didn't even make the NBA top 10? fkn for real? Dude tomahawked a center into the rim at full speed.
So one thing that has become crystal clear to me, besides our ball handling and turnover challenges, is our rim protection. It’s so freaking bad. It’s been bad for years. Amen helped a little last yr playing in the dunkers spot, but in general it’s another huge deficiency in the roster. This offseason we need to address that. It makes us look soft.
It's Kevin. He gets his numbers but doesn't elevate anyone else's. He thinks he is the only one who can take shots in the clutch. And if anyone else dares to try he gets passive aggressive and pouts. I fear in a couple of years we will look back on the Durant trade like we look back on the 1999 acquisition of a certain #33
He realized Holiday was an embarrassing mistake. So he went back to Okogie. Then he threw Davison out there and saw if it would stick. It actually worked pretty well for a while. And then he put Tate in and we lost the momentum.
Sad thing is the issues are structural. Shooting can improve, but we are not going to get bigger. One team can survive one slacker on defense on the modern NBA. But we can't survive with KD, Sengun and Reed choosing when to play defense all at once.
