This can only mean you think the Texans are going to win (but don't want to say it), so time to bet the house on the Steelers? I guess this would be an excellent test of whether your predictions need to be in writing.

No, don't overthink it. I had visited a Texans thread, many weeks ago, and made a (sincere) comment that they seemed to be playing well, and then the wheels fell off. I had thrown shade at an opposing player who seemed washed, I think, and then he went on a rampage against the Texans. It was something like that. People barked at me for visiting the thread. So I've stuck to that, pretty much.

I honestly have no take on tonight's game. I am with those who worry that too many people are thinking about next-round matchups though. If I know anything about bad mojo, that kind of talk is tempting fate.

Anyway, as far as I can tell, my powers are unleashed only when I type out sincere football predictions, versus the spread, on this BBS. I am uncannily wrong. Yesterday's work only added to that legacy, with two favorites losing outright.

I love this slate of division round games.

“The Chargers also fired OL coach Mike Devlin, sources tell The Insiders.”

Steelers now get a proper rebuild. They can tank for Arch now.

I'm curious to see if the Steelers follow their previous process (as when hiring Tomlin) of being extremely thorough, in no hurry and hiring someone unexpected and relatively unknown. IIRC, Tomlin wasn't on any other team's radar.

One thing almost for sure: It will be someone relatively young with no previous NFL head coaching experience.

Also curious to see where Tomlin ends up. He's definitely gonna be a HC again. Will he take a year off or jump back in immediately?

I actually think swapping coaches would be good for both of them.

It would, but no way it happens since Tomlin needs Pittsburgh approval to go anywhere.

But Harbaugh could go to Pittsburgh, just doubt he would because of the lack of QB.
