According to people who, you know, live in Minneapolis, it is totally what is happening. You can even read posts by our own @rocketsjudoka, who's far from some liberal shill and about as honest a guy as you can find on this BBS. Why is any citizen, be they a Target employee or a random person in a car, getting hogtied by federal thugs? Does some part of the "don't tread on me" within you not raise an alarm? I guess not. "Go tread on them" is totally on brand now for MAGA. Starting with immigrants and gays, I guess, but you're clearly not going to stop there.
Just a sad side note: 28% is almost exactly the proportion of the population who put these thugs and their enablers in power. That's all it takes. (Trump scored 31.5% of all US elligible voters in 2024.)
There are many possible reasons someone could be detained. ICE has so many outstanding detainers on illegal aliens who have been arrested/charged/convicted of other crimes, they don't need to randomly search for people. Most local LEOs cooperate and hand them over. But for sanctuary cities like Minneapolis who refuse to work with ICE, they have to go get them. Cities like Minneapolis would rather let a violent criminal out on bail than hand them over to ICE.
These are the same people who talked tough and gobbled up guns left and right during Obama. Now that the ACTUAL jackbooted thugs are here they're ****ing silent, if not cheering it on.
The fact that they have no warrants is so brazen of the rule of law, some are saying they have "immigration warrants" which isn't even a thing. Breaking car windows and snatching people out of their cars...........this is friggin insane, the brownshirts are a stain on America and if this was happening in a red city maga would freak out The goal is to light the flame and then declare martial law and then move on to the next blue city. I wonder what happens if ice comes to someone's door and busts it open and the ice agent gets shot..............I am sure there would be more lies.

One brave dude, and we'll need a lot more such bravery. The scene he paints feels so much like Bane's armed takeover of Gotham. "Courts will be convened. Spoils will be enjoyed. Blood will be shed. The police will survive, as they learn to serve true justice." It would not take many GOP members of Congress to grow a spine and stop this madness. It was all over the news here in DC when ICE first started its crusade. Rocking up on people, asking for papers, and when they couldn't produce they'd get sent up the river to ICE's little "prove you belong" jail. It's ridiculous and proves that these losers never gave one flying **** about freedom or limited government. All they care about is hurting people they hate and licking Trump's butthole.

Warrants are only needed to get into someone's private property. What these goobers are doing is abusing the hell out of "probable cause". Basically, they can take you in if they want and there's really nothing you can do about it. Your name could be Yankee Doodle ****in Dandy and you could have your birth certificate, driver's license, and passport on you.... doesn't matter, they can haul you in with zero accountability.
