On the Clippers playing better recently, some people point to Zu going down as a blessing in disguise, as it gave some guys more spacing. They also lifted Kawhi's minutes restrictions, in mid Dec, which still took some time before the L's turned into W's. Whatever throttling Kawhi may have thought about saving post season, he has to spend it now for a shot at play-in contention. Trade pundits throwing Kawhi or Harden's names, but it's difficult to see for me to see any of these guys dealt mid season.
I don’t know why any member of our fan base want him back. He had his time here and would still be here if he didn’t hijack the team to bounce from Brooklyn to Philadelphia to LA He chose to leave For those reasons, I’m a HARD no
We really can get James Harden if we include Bari. But I dont think its smart because of his age unless we get blessed with the 2027 Nets pick.
You aren't getting Harden unless Kawhi gets injured and has to miss the majority of the rest of the season. Clippers are within 1.5 games of the play-in and have no incentive to tank.
Look at those fresh 36 year old legs still getting to the paint with ease. Rockets could sure use someone like that getting to the rim and finding everyone else easy shots.
KL could get injured at any time and it’s fair to say the likelihood of him and his reliability for the entire year is not great. I don’t know if the Clippers actually have legitimate championship aspirations. I am sure that they want to avoid giving OKC a great pick though. I definitely would like to see us a choir hardened, and maybe the answer is not looking at it through the lens of having to use Fred but using Jabari/Clint/Holiday and a protected pick. Sengun/Adams Amen(continues to learn PG/Eason DFS or Eason when healthy KD/Okogie Harden/Reed/FVV next year Harden was generally at his best defensively when allowed to defend power forwards and this pushes Thompson out to the perimeter although he will have to use his athleticism to contribute with the defensive rebounding.
B2B threes to close out the Hornets last night imagine him having sequences like that back in front of the Toyota Center crowd…maybe that would finally get them to show a little bit of life this season last night, Harden surpassed Shaq for 9th on the all time scoring list
People forget that Shai was a 11th pick, Jalen Williams a 12th pick and Ajay and Dort 2nd Rounders. Although Shai was not initially drafted by Presti, they had their eyes on him early, they find gems later in the draft as well. The Clippers are not going to become a Top Seed to totally avoid it.
They really have to make a legitimate offer ASAP, it makes too much sense. James has a ton left in the tank and he should be competing for a title back in Houston. He makes this team a legitimate contender immediately. A trade needs to be made before the Clippers get back to .500 (which they're trending towards) and they really think they can compete again.
I’d be shocked if the Clippers trade James Harden without him forcing it there was a small window of opportunity when they were 6-21 and looked dead
10-2 in their last 12 games, and their schedule is pretty light for the next few weeks I saw that they’re 2nd in offensive rating, 6th in defensive rating, and 1st in net rating during this stretch Clippers just don’t have any incentive to trade Harden atm
