It actually low key sucks knowing that the Suns wanted Bari for KD in the first place. Imagine how much better we'd look on both ends with DB still on the roster? Him and Fred were genuinely the heart and fire of the team, and it really, really ****ing shows this year.

Bari doesn't have a calling card yet, a skill that the team can depend on every game. He's like the Wendell Carter Jr of power forwards.

For role players especially, it's important to have one elite skill rather than be generically productive. Ideally, role players are elite at 3 and D so that they can support the stars. PJ Tucker shot 36.6% from deep while in Houston which was slightly below league average, but his defense was so good that we couldn't afford to keep him off the floor. We don't need Jabari to score, we just need him to keep the defense honest and play amazing D. He's not great at either yet but I hope he embraces that role.

Agree he is in there for shooting and spacing.

For me, I also wasn't a fan of some of the shot selection, where he opted for tough turn around fades instead of something more high %.

And defensively, role can be switch defense, weak side blocks and box outs.

It's tough for me to defend Bari with his recent play, and fans have different tolerance levels. So I get it, if some folks are off the Bari train

I can still look back on some of his better games this season. I'm not there yet for a trade..., For the team, and for his sake, I hope he turns it around.
