Ime is proving to be a moron with lineup decisions and is costing this team wins. BTW - I called it that we would NEVER be able to sustain the defense effort that last year's team showed - once we flipped roster pieces, we needed a new direction. DD
There hasn't been a single player, on any UH team since Sampson has been there who was even close to a good as Reed Sheppard. The closest you can get is Quintin Grimes who despite the reputation, has struggled defensively in the nba. So, again, you're either dishonest or stupid. You pick.

I think Stone and Ime messed up. The roster is all over the place. You have a PG in Amen, who wants to run but he has no one to run with. You have Sengun and KD who prefer to slow it down and setup. Jabari is still young and not consistent. Tari is in and out of the lineup. And we don't have anyone coming of the bench that can go get a bucket. I blame Ime and Stone
After rewatching the game (I do not recommend it), several things are obvious about this team, especially since December 1st. The Rockets' schedule from the first of December up until now has been extremly difficult, which has played a part in their 9-10 record. 13 of the last 19 have been on the road. Injuries have played a part as well. Sengun has missed 7 games during this time. Eason has missed 9 games, and Steven Adams has missed 5. The coaching staff has not made the proper adjustments in games, and the rotation has not been good at times, which has cost them. Their offense is predictable and, too often, relies too much on one-on-one play. They are not playing with the same intensity, especially on defense, after going from a top-three defensive team to 16th in defensive rating over the last month and a half. Players who were shooting career highs from 3 have begun to see their averages drop. Rockets are 24th in 3-point percentage in the last 19 games and even worse in the last four games at 23.1 percent! 28th in free-throw shooting since December 1st, which has cost them a few games, but also is the result of tired legs as well. There is no such thing as a must-win in January, but the Rockets can not lose to the Bulls at home, especially with OKC and Minnesota coming up. The coaches, not just the players, have to make changes asap or it could get even worse than it is right now.
If "A" and "B" are dishonest and stupid, surely there has to be a "C", because Im neither. However, since you mentioned Grimes, I would take him over Reed right now. Obviously, you're assessing players on rankings and/or draft positions. Remember, UH went to the Sweet Sixteen that yr and Kentucky lost, well you already know, they lost in the first round. Thats the game Reed had 3pts in 26 mins.

I've said Ime and Stone is the problem. But at the same time, he can not start Reed. If they single him out when he comes off the bench, what do you think they're going to do if he starts? As bad as Ime said Cam was on defense, opposing teams never singled him out. Ime and Stone has backed us into a corner with the KD trade. We have NO DEPTH, WE ARE SLOW AND DON’T DEFEND AS WELL.
Stone signed him for 3yrs, plus a Players Option! As much as I thought Morey was overrated, he would have never given a Player's Option to a 31yr old
I skipped this game. Thank God!! Had a nice night watching a movie with my wife. Made the right decision.
Im going to do something different -- instead of bashing them, Im going to support the team in their bad times, including Jabari. The Rockets are going through a bad slump. Every team goes through it, but the slump vary in degrees. We will come out stronger, more unified.
We did have a guy, he was averaging 15ppg on 64 TS% with the highest +\- on the team 19 games in a row before we decided to screw things up and not allow him to develop. We get it, Reed disowned you as a kid after raw dogging your mom. Take it up with on family court and stop wasting our time with this nonsense
Pains me to see how well Nickeil Alexander Walker is playing with the Hawks. His skillset would’ve been perfect for what this team needs now. It's not hindsight either because a good portion of people here including me were urging for Stone to sign him during free agency. I was lukewarm on DFS.
