I'm not too concerned about Sengun and KD. Sengun can shift his minutes with the bench units like what Tatum and Brown did. I don't like Reed playing too careful. He's only taking 3 shots at the half and he should take every shot when he's open. I don't care he miss like Jabari because Jabari at least give us some defense when he's on court, Reed gives us nothing if he doesn't shoot.
Oh I get it, but it still was a wild thing for him to say. I get the team isn't bad defensively, the stats all say the team should have a few more wins than we do, we have really not done well closing out games I think that's been the biggest issue we've had.
Let me help you out, KD can not and does not play Dillon Brooks defense... He will never be effective on that end. Dillon however will make some 3s for you and score in crunch time. KD will also not slash to the bucket like Jalen, Jalen creates many more problems for a defense than Durant. Teams are happy with Durant Iso, because it's controlled and planned for. They are happy letting KD go for 40 while he takes everyone one else out of the equation. You think it's frustrating watching this team out of coincidence?

They unfortunately did. The Issue is they said Jalen is the guy. But Jalen proved so woefully incompetent as the guy that they finally bit the bullet and realised they had to trade him. It just coincided when KD was available so they hitched their wagon to KD as opposed to making the decision to then build around the next best player Sengun (I say 'next best player' being in their minds... since a few of us knew Sengun was the best player before either played a single NBA game) I'm not mad at them trading for KD. I'll never be mad at them for trading Jalen Green. Their new problem is having a coach who doesn't know an X and O if there were only two letters in the alphabet.

The only thing that will save this team is leaning into Reed. He works. He can shoot, he can create, and the offense is balanced when he plays. That's the only thing I think will save this team but I'm not sure the coach realizes it. I'm not asking Reed to drop 20 a night, just to play more consistently with KD and Alpi. Put as many offensive threats you can on the floor as much as you can and ask them to play the best defense they can. It seems simple enough to me.
