I was listening to that to; Ron is no Texans fan which annoys me as he always seems to want to take a dig at anything the Texans do and Clint can be so negative it turns me off at times, when there just having fun I can listen, but I tune in to sports radio to hear positive things about my team and the constant negativity just turns me off
I like listening to them to be honest. They aren't biased. I have gotten so turned off of Vandemeer and John Harris. They will spin any game in to a positive. Clint and Ron tell it how it is. I think his take on CJ this year coming from someone who played in the league is spot on. He is a big Cowboys fan, but keeps it real that CJ is really good but due to the Texans philosophy is being asked to just play clean. A lot of that thought to is that they don't have the OL to get you in to manageable down on 2nd and 3rd or that they can protect you for the longer routes. The team understands its identity. This is what the team will be this year. If they can go out and draft OL well, get a Tank and Mixon back. You might see a much different team next year offensively. And the truth is, they have been trending up since Week 4. This isn't a fantasy football slaying offense this year and a lot of fans are struggling to see that.
I think, because they're overly-focused on every CJ Stroud throw, that far too many fans don't recognize that our OL - while better - is still not very good. That, while Marks, Higgins & Noel have flashed, we still don't have any consistently viable playmakers beyond Nico - and REALLY miss Tank Dell. That, despite Marks and Jordan having some nice runs here and there, our running game is not very good and certainly not very scary. That our red zone offense, while still very bad, is mostly on par with last year's - and that's without Joe Mixon. I don't know why Caserio and the FO didn't address these issues more urgently. But! They get another offseason to add to what looks like good building blocks and, hopefully, with Tank back, this is going to be a *very* good offense next season.
I think it is pretty folly to expect Tank to ever get back to his rookie year abilities. Before his latest injury he just didn't look the same, and obliterating every part of his knee will likely only make that worse. I hope I'm surprised, but at this stage I'm not expecting anything from him.
No way a washed up grandpa Rodgers beat us. Idk know why I listen to the national sports media, that thinks this'll be a close game or a win by the Steelers. Joke 27-7
A lot of national media and sports betters are saying to hammer the Steelers either +3 1/2 or money line. The glaze on Pittsburgh is honestly insane.
I still remember what Rodgers did to us in our previous 12-5 season. Texans need to lock it, this will not be easy.
I don't think this game is going to be as close as people think. The Texans are better than the Browns and beat the Chargers and the Bills. The Steelers lost to all those teams. The key is if the pass rush can "marinate" Rogers. The Texans are going to be pumped. They worked all season for this chance. Loser goes home.
There is a major talent gap between the Texans and Steelers - and Aaron Rodgers isn't that good anymore. Texans have to win the game or it will be a big disappointment.
