I made the mistake of turning on SR610 for 5 minutes around 5pm yesterday, and those two idiots Clint and Ron were losing their minds about the Texans waiving Wallace, as if we had just cut prime Ed Reed. Going on and on about how you just don't see playoff teams cutting safeties during game week, and how they're so thin and weak at safety now. Ron even mentioned Reed possibly coming back, and Clint was like, "Yeah, maybe. I guess he contributed a little bit early on." It was enough to get me to turn it off. This was OBVIOUSLY the move to bring Reed back into the mix.
Update. Wallace is back on the Practice Squad with a reset of his Elevation eligibility for the post season.
I wish they'd wear black gloves. Something to make it harder for refs to see them grabbing Stealers jerseys.
Me too…i think those would look good with the icy whites. Those white jerseys are my favorite…with the bull horns on the sleeve. So good
My hope are that we beat Pittsburgh and send them off crying in those terrible towels. A big dominating win with no injuries would be ideal. That's what I'd love to see. The troubling thing for me is that I believe we can win a Superbowl this year, but I can also see us not even making it to winning an AFC Championship by poor play calling, poor adjustments at halftime, and simply making bonehead penalties or CJ having a really bad game. That's what makes it so exciting and scary all mixed together, because I know we are capable of beating anyone if everyone just plays the best they have played all year.
I totally connect with your line of thinking. The Texans are supremely talented, but capable of moments of incomprehensible stupidity. Rogers is old, but he his crafty. I like our chances going to the big one IF we can get the first one.
Except, it gives the Texans more time to think and plan, both a negative and a positive, because it does the same for the Steelers.
I wasn’t at the Oilers game against KC at home. I was on a high school class trip in Hong Kong. I couldn’t find anywhere to watch it, so I called home and had my mom put the phone up to the TV so I could hear the NBC announcers calling the plays. It was a horrible way to end that season after a remarkable 11 game winning streak with an unbelievable defense. That was the last time we hosted an AFC Divisional Game in Houston. In fact, that is the only time we’ve ever had an AFC Divisional Game in Houston.
Predicted game day low temp is 31 degrees. Tuesday is gonna be 40. Sunuvabech. Silver lining- Sunday is gonna be 26.
I'd add non-contrasting gloves to blend in with the opponent's Jersey. Don't make it easy. Or at least matching the tone of their arms.
Just a thought about the only two questions all QBs face. Either, "Can they WIN a Superbowl" or "Can they WIN another Superbowl". Both are relevant this Monday.
