The Sox basically gave up nothing - Felix is going nowhere, a near 8 ERA in A ball. Figueroa is the only pitcher that really has any chance of a big-league callup. Losing Brook Fordyce is no biggie, even if Charles Johnson doesn't sign a contract extension. Josh Paul is a fine catcher and will be ready next year - I thought that he was better than Fordyce all along, yet he was sent back down in May.

This was a move that will help, but I agree that they need more pitching. Sirotka-Parque-Baldwin in the playoffs won't get them a thing, I'm afraid. I've got my fingers crossed that they'll do something else. This team, more than any other team, should know when an opportunity like this arises, they've got to grab it by the short ones and go for it.

Ya, just read mlbtalk.com, apparently we raped them in the deal. The Pitchers we gave were pathetic. LOL.

I really like Johnson now, he'll be a very good influence to the young pitchers.

Are there any pitchers left worth giving up our young prospects? I'm not too estatic on the leftovers...

Keeley isnt the only one!!!!!!! [IMG]

Getting Charles Johnson should help some to get somewhere in the playoffs (but even if he doesnt help that much, the sox basically gave up nothing for him) I like their pitchers but Baldwin gives up to many gopher balls.

Im still wondering where they will Johnson in the lineup. Im guessing 6th.

I guess only Keeley would really care about this, but we boosted 2 positions, however they didn't get a veteren starting pitcher. Now Charles Johnson we could use, as at catcher we defintely could of used improvement. How about Baines? He's a damn good lefty but isn't Thomas are DH? I personally don't know the minor league pitchers too well. I didn't see Garland so we didn't give up too much? I only know what Sporting News said. Anyways, hopefully we split this Angels roadtrip.
