I was 11 listening to it on the A.M station. All this time I thought the game was played in KC. Just went to the box score. Yo, Gary Brown got shut down completely! what? Then I fell deeper in this rabbit hole, specifically Gary Brown. He had another 1,000 yard season 5 years later with the Giants. Cool. Cool. Gary Brown, Natrone Means and The Bus were inspirational for any chubby kid. I stopped following the nfl completely when the oilers officially left and didn't return til 99'. Traded my football cards for comic books and bball cards. Stressful days. They were a missed game winning kick from nailing their week 18 predictions.
Page Six Slingers in the House. Let’s go Texans! Hopefully CJ scores a couple of quick strikes early and they are chasing us while trying to survive our pass rush. Put it away early and by all means if up 35-3 at halftime. Score one d@mn touchdown in the 2H. #SWARM
Yeah well I learned today I’m about 9 years older than you so maybe let’s just all settle down for a minute ok? Geez.
Interesting Steelers stat. They give up 10.2 pts a game in the 4th qt worst in NFL. Also they give up 11.6 4th qt pts at home. Worst in NFL.
How's this.... The Oilers/Texans have not won a road playoff game since 1988. George HW Bush was president. Quentin Tarantino had not written Pulp Fiction. Eddie Vedder worked at a gas station. Seinfeld wasn't a TV show. 1988.
That one hurt more than the Buffalo one IMO. You could see the Buffalo one coming all through the 2nd half. This one was just so sudden... My lasting memory of that game is the KC receiver throwing the ball at the gigantic Buddy Ryan sign after a TD. And realizing it was Warren Moon's last game as an Oiler.
