It is. One time out during Hawk's 14-0 run and they come back taking more jump shots? Lue and Ward cannot make a shot if their life depends on it. GOt to go to Yao!

If gumby wasn't so screwed up with his substitutions and had a real offensive scheme, Royal wouldn't have made a difference. There is no excuse to lose to Walker and crew. A team with Antoine Walker as the best player just beat us. Pathetic.

Don't mean to harping on this but Ward and Lue played like they were actually trying to throw the game.

Yao would be in position and they consistently dribble away from him to the other side of the court. He is having the best shooting game in his ENTIRE CAREER and they refuse to give him the ball.

Van Gundy once again displays his lack of ability to coach an offense. When a guy is shooting over 90% from the field and he gets about 3 touches in the fourth quarter, who can we blame but the coach? Is it not his decision as to who plays and who sits? Does he not call offensive plays for the team? If the players on the court can't get a 13/15 hot hand the ball for almost an entire quarter, then sub in pagdett or someone who can. Utterly disgusted in Van Gundy's lack of competence. We need a new coach worse then we need new guards.

Uhh... yea... he honestly tells his players to airball wide open 3's, and throw the ball away on consecutive possesions.

Heads are going to roll on this team... namely at the PG position... if their play does not improve.

They're the only players out there who can make an effort to get the ball where its supposed to go... Yao can be in perfect position on the play set up by JVG, but if his PG's are too chicken s*** to pass him the ball, what can he do?

Sure, he can chew their ass out and tell them to force it... and then you get a TO...

Our players were in position to put this game away in the 4th quarter... and they started playing soft.

JVG WILL take the blame for this loss, but I say the players deserve much much more of it.

everyone just wants to pad their stats while the rox are leading. It happens all the time....Yao plays well....gives the rox the lead, then its time for the role players to pad their stats and the rox lose the lead, then they try to go back to Yao when its too late.

JVG is not a good coach, but our team has horrible passers.

    CHOKE tonight for sure.

JVG once again showed us how poor his coach ability is at 4 quarter.
2 idiots with the grumpy ruined our night.

They need to do this during practise: DT Yao, and force to guards to feed him. Bench all those who cannot do it.

Tmac: Why not take the ball to the hole? You are taking way too many off balance jumpers!

exactly. Why are people blaming JVG. It's like blaming Grand Theft Auto for you going out on a rampage. JVG didn't turn the ball over. JVG isn't that bonehead charlie ward. JVG didn't tip Mo Taylors hand, missing the layup...

did you guys even watch the game?

As I said before... for this team to be successful, Yao has got to be the guy who takes the shots at the end of the games, not Tmac. I've followed him quite a bit over his career. He's great for the first 2-3 quarters but when the pressure is on, he's horrible.

    To Sum it up:

The Rockets played HORRIBLY in the 4th quarter to blow an 11 point lead against a HORRIBLE Hawks team.

by that rationale, no coach is ever to blame for anything because the players are always the ones playing. no coach helps a team win a title or brings them down to 20 wins. hell, might as well just not have coaches.

2 points in 6 minutes doesn't shock me in the least with jvg at the head of our offense. it's all part of the experience. giving up 2 in 6 minutes wouldn't really shock me with him leading the defense either. still, the offense is unacceptable. this isn't a team that plays good defense. in fact, ATL plays crappy defense.
