I liked the surreality, the ambiguous ending. It's all wrapped up in a bow, almost too perfect...hivelike.
Is anyone buying that the series finale wasn't the real finale and it's going to be released on January 7th? The theory is Mike was under Vecna's spell in the "finale" and what we saw wasn't real. It explains it here. While I do admit that I do believe all the things people are saying I don't believe they're releasing another episode.
Am I the only one who didn’t think Eleven/Millie was even a remotely good actress in this series? I never understood why she spoke like a child who had never interacted with humans. Other kids from the lab didn’t speak so rudimentary. Why can’t she form a complete sentence even years after living in the real world? Season 1 was amazing. It all went down hill after that. You can’t spend 10 years telling a story and keeping the kids in the same show time frame. It felt like the Duff brothers were just like “f it” let’s do another season so we can crash out for another 3 years until we run out of money again…
not the biggest fan of the finale; lot of plot holes during the season(nancy wheeler suddenly being able to speak and helping the kids out in the basement, demodogs not being hurt by bullets but the mindflayer was hurt by flare guns, no demogorgons or demodogs or an army appearing the final fight), and there was no stakes at all. It used to be just some kids on a bike, now it's a whole gang and no one got killed or injured. Also there was no point to Linda Hamilton nor any punishment from the army to killing their men?Kali comes back and no one cares that she dies and the Steve fakeout death was stupid. I am sure the Eleven ending is left open-handed in case Netflix needs to revive the series again someday
I thoroughly enjoyed the finale. It was a sweet sendoff and look back at the series's big moments. I think it was the strongest episode and made up for an overall weak first 7 episodes. I agree with Xerobull that the bullies beating up Dustin never got tied up. I was hoping there'd be something in thet wrap up. And Nancy Wheeler all of a sudden taking out military grunts like it's nothing is hilarious. But it's a show and sometimes we just ignore things like how the military packed up and left Hawkins despite the gang killing a bunch of them means nothing.
I kind of assumed everything they were doing there was so secret that they just quietly packed up and left and covered up their tracks as they were leaving. Then just denied anything happened there besides an earthquake.
or the belief that the Texans offense will bring anything to the table this post season. I give the Texans offense the same odds I gave to the reality of another episode of stranger things. Zero chance. I’ll be delighted if I’m wrong.
