I swear people just want something to complain about. Guy actually sneezing at 15-7 because it's "not elite" should be grounds for banishment from the forums because that is a grade A for ass shitpost.
I think Jabari is going to be a very good 28 year old PF/C capable of being a starter on a championship team. I think his size, consistency, spacing, and constant effort helps us win games in the regular season. His shot looks good. I just don’t think he can beat the Thunder in a series over the next 3 or 4 years. A simple schematic disadvantage when on the court alongside Alperen Sengun and Kevin Durant vs that team. Mostly due to his body type and things out of his control. Knowing how good of a player he’s going to be in the future I still think an alternative of trading him for a value retaining different kind of player.. One that can guard more OKC and Spurs players up close and apply pressure while also being comfortable with the ball versus the pressure. That alternative while drafting some more wings and bigs with the future picks looks better than waiting it out to me.
People want to complain about 1.3tov in 34.4min these days. If they have to hold their breath for this, they might as well stop watching the games.
Everyone needs to stop pretending that OKC is some unstoppable juggernaut. The Pacers last season weren't exactly world beaters and they took them to seven. OKC just got crushed by the Hornets. I just don't think they are on the level of the 90s Bulls, the KD Warriors, etc. Do I think we would beat OKC in a 7 game series? No. Do I think the chances that we could are under 25%? Not really. Not to mention none of this takes into account factors such as injuries.
The pacers were a hell of a lot faster than us. How OKC performs in their schedule vs all the teams compared to how the Rockets do in that format or how the Pacers did in that format isn’t that relevant in a playoff series.
Same Ol Jabari. Don’t even care if he drops 20 in the 2nd half. How many times does he fail to show up?
Probably have to wait until the summer to trade him (when his extension kicks in). Hopefully there are some tRuE BeLiEvErS in him out there in GM land and we can get something of value in return - i dunno, like someone who can shoot or bounce the ball??
I’ll say this about Jabari, at least he’s not delusional he knows exactly what he is, which is why a top 3 pick locked himself into a 5/122 rookie extension he didn’t even bother to bet on himself or bank on potential, because he knows he doesn’t have much of it
According to the sources, Suns asked for Jabari in that KD trade, but Rockets only willing to offer Dillon. And people told me DFS is far better than Dillon
Any time Jabari goes on a 5-7 game hot shooting stretch and everyone is talking about how he's broken through or arrived or taken a leap or whatever, I just wait a couple of weeks. After tonight, his efficiency is right back where he was two years ago. '23-24: .454 FG / .363 3PT / .537 EFG '25-26: .444 FG / .366 3PT / .536 EFG Before the draft I clocked him as a guy who will probably settle in at around 37% from three, give or take a percentage. If we take out his absymal rookie season, he's at .361 on 862 attempts, so that seems pretty spot on. But the thought that he's ever going to be some deadeye 40%+ sniper? With the lack of improvement we've seen to this point, I doubt it. That said, I'm sure we'll be talking about how he's figured it all out next time he goes 5 for 8.
