I was dreading this game; especially with Sengun out. I wasn’t happy with the way we played, but I’ll take the win. still feels like we’re really struggling offensively and our transition defense was embarrassing; especially in the 1st half. Going to the game in Portland on Wednesday. Hope we can have a more decisive victory.
Yes this is true, we are a truly elite chaos basketball team. Unfortunately, the playoffs is about how good your halfcourt offense is against a set, gameplanned defense. Chaos basketball thrives in the sloppy months of the regular season.
im not going to argue with that... Personally, I think that is why Ime is continuously playing with diff combos - trying to find a line-up that he can trust in those situations.... Okogie and Holiday looked sturdy at the start and now they are faltering.... Reed looked phenomenal for a stretch but then also looked shaky as hell... Tari sucked initially then looked great after injury but still pulls bonehead moves for no reason... we still dont really know what we have with DFS.... honestly, I think he's still evaluating these guys to decide if we need to pull off a trade for a pg...
i agree... but i think Ime is still looking for a facilitator... whether its somebody on the roster - or if he needs a trade....
Durant was one minute from another 40oz... smh. There's no way this can continue while expecting a good outcome. Maybe Sengun's absence affected minutes tonight but Ime needs to have a low-30 plan for Durant. Big minutes do not only affect this year and don't only affect efficiency. Happy for the win.
I don’t know what you guys saw tonight. Amen was getting into the lane every time he was initiating and finding wide open spot up shooters. He can’t make the guys hit those shots. Even Hollins was pointing it out. Go back and watch the second half and count how many perfect passes were bricked. You’re not one of them, but the infatuation with Reed by some on this site is fogging their eyesight. I believe they are actually pulling for Amen to fail.
I love Amen... but his Achilles (at the moment) is his shooting from beyond 5 feet... so its hard for him to able to set-up the offense from the top of the key when the d can sag off of him and crowd the passing lanes... plus i think he's best roaming, getting behind the d, cutting - and receiving the pass... although his backing guys down has looked impressive lately.... I think Reed's ideal role is 6th man right now... imo he's too much of a defensive liability to have out there if ur not getting the benefit of high volume shooting... and if hes out there with KD and Sengun, he should not be the one shooting high volume at that time...
From Suns Reddit Book three-point shooting update: Overall: .298 Last 15 games: .250 Last 10: .288 Last 5: .280 Last 100 attempts .263 That is really terrible.
Amen got into the paint at will tonight and making the right reads and getting to the ft line. I honestly don’t know what else he can do to prove to folks he is playing the right position. We have no one else on this team that can drive and dish. You can have all the shooters you want, but if no one can drive and dish those 3 pt percentages are going to tank. Patience is key. His middle is coming around and will get better as his confidence rises. I don’t know if he’ll ever develop a good 3 pointer, but Jason Kidd and Magic Johnson developed at least a decent one did, so there is hope.
and thats the guy that many people wanted - and i believe he woulda cost more than KD... imagine if we woulda paid that price and gotten these results... lol! Folks on here would be rioting about how Ime's incompetence killed his productivity... lol
chandler parsons' shot was flat as flat bread and he held the rockets' 3 point record for quite sometime until brooks broke it last year.
