Ranked 6th (+109) in the league in point differential for the regular season despite the shitty offense

They finished 13th in points/game - their offense is not "shitty". It's inconsistent; it has holes... But it's not shitty.

Texans offense since Week 3 aka Week 4 on.

26.1 points a game- 9th best in the NFL.

Texans offense in that time frame with Stroud excluding the Denver game in which he played 1Q but led 3 potential scoring drives.

30.6 points a game- Ranked NUMBER 1 in the NFL in that time frame.

The bad offense truthers need to give it a rest. The Texans offense has improved greatly after struggling the first 3 games of the season due to horrid blocking, Stroud not adjusting to the offense, and learning a new offense in general.

Texans are not only underrated publicly. They are underrated by their own fanbase.

I will be shocked if they don't make a run to the AFC this year. Assuming they can get past Pittsburgh.

They have a date with a Denver team that has struggled defensively towards the end of the year or a NE team that is 1-2 against playoff teams this season.

I'm low-key pissed that we lost the lowest points allowed to the Seahawks by 3. If we had played our starters in the 2nd half we would have likely kept it. Seattles starters played all 17

I saw a similar type post where it was like “who is this qb?” 14-3 record, 36 tds, 0 INTs, and a 110 passer rating.. it was all qbs against the Jets this year haha

Why throw out those games and keep the blowouts against far inferior defensive teams. We’ve have 8 games where we scored 20 or less, 3 more where we scored between 23 and 26. We are 30th in red zone offense. We have been a poor offensive team this year, but I will say we seem to be improving just in time for the playoffs. I, too, think we have a chance to make it to the super bowl.

Because time marches on, man. You don't judge a team by it's week 1, 4 or even 10 results. You judge, best you can, where they are *right now*. And if you're arguing the Texans' offense is poor or, as someone said elsewhere, "shitty" - then I think you're holding on to those early games too tightly.

They've gotten much, much better. Better, should not necessarily be confused with great, or even good. But - *right now* - I think they can do enough to go on a run.

Eh they needed the win...we really didn't and I can understand it. Health is a good reason to not mess it up for the playoffs.

Texans defense being really good and the offense being great at moving the ball until they are in G to G situations.

Clean up the penalties and they have more than enough to win multiple games this playoff run.

Bears fans would tell Texans fans this would be a dream come true for them if the Titans hired Nagy.

4 defensive TDs is only 24 points. FGs count as the offense needs to move into FG position. FGs are not a bad thing, especially if you make 95% of them.

Those 24 points are the difference between being #13 and #18....also, when your offense is as pathetic as the Texans, having the best kicker in the NFL is noteworthy.

This team doesn't make the playoffs without our franchise kicker who is the best offensive weapon the team has and an absolutely elite defense, basically the only thing the team has going for them.

And? That why you pay the kicker. Just ask the Steelers and especially the Ravens about how important a kicker is.

Not good, means bad or below average. I do think they look to have improved a bit, but in the last 8 games they have scored over 23 points 2 times against the lowly Cardinals and the last game against Indy in which they had to kick 6 field goals. Our defense is winning games, our offense is still bad, but may be improving enough to get us an AFC championship in the weakest conference I can ever remember. I wonder when was the last time a team was 30th in red zone offense and won the AFC?

    That's my point.

You're trying to discount the only good parts of the team to prop up the embarrassingly bad part of the team and I'm not letting you get away with it...

Fairbairn had a career year. He was a perfect 35/35 from under 50 yards, and perfect 28/28 from PATs. He only had 4 misses all year and all from >50. He tied the record for most FGs made in a season at 44, and he also missed 2 games.
