While I hate our vanilla offense, the comeback in this season is remarkable, after starting 0-3 and to finish at 12-5 is a masterclass in coaching and keeping these guys motivated, but it won't mean a hill of beans if we don't beat the Steelers. This is the match up I wanted and now its on primetime to boot..................the anticipation is killing me This meme might fly over the heads of the younger crowd
Well, the end of the game showed why that was a stupid statement. What I found bewildering was that the Ravens played nothing but zone against Rogers and did not blitz him which allowed him to pick them apart. He may be unvaccinated but he's lethal against zone defenses.
A lot of people talk about how the Ravens have been a thorn in our side for a long time.....but really old people know that historically the Steelers have been a MUCH bigger issue for Houston football than the Ravens. Without the ****ing Steelers, we'd have seen a Houston team win the Super Bowl already.
After what I've seen this year, I don't believe their defense will be afraid to face our offense. I'm expecting a true slog of a game with a lot of 3 and outs. Also waiting to see what the weather will be like in Pittsburgh. It should be cold, yes but as long as there's no precipitation, the Texans should be fine.
I think there's some chance that the good version of CJ makes an appearance. If that happens, we win by 20+. The Steeler's offense is even worse than ours and their defense is flat out pathetic when it comes to their secondary. Now, if the good version of CJ doesn't show up, then we might be in trouble.
Their DL is going to be a problem. Literally nothing else about their team worries me. And it's a really bad match-up for Rodgers. It's the playoffs and the Texans are on the road - anything can happen. But I'd be floored if the Texans don't win this game, and I think they'll win by 10+ points.
I'll need to watch back the Texans vs Jets game last season. Aaron Rodgers outplayed Stroud if I rememeber correctly.
Stole this from Texans reddit (credit: 440k) : If the Chargers and Bills win, the divisional would be against Buffalo at home in Houston If the Chargers and Jaguars win, the divisional would be against the Jaguars on the road If the Patriots and Bills win, the divisional round would be against New England on the road If the Patriots and Jaguars win, the divisional round would be against Denver on the road
Bills win gives us the best path. Either a home playoff game or playing against the weak sauce Patriots. Bills will beat the Jags too. Josh Allen won't let them lose in the wild card
I don’t fully agree here. He gets rid of the ball quickly and I’m concerned we won’t get the pressure we expect. However, if we tackle well on the short throws could still lead to a ton of stops and three and outs. Also, don’t fall for his bullshit offsides baiting.
Yep; also... If the Texans, Bill & Chargers all win Wild Card weekend, and then the Texans (v Bills, at home) and Chargers (@ Denver) win in the divisional round, the Texans would host LA In the AFC championship game. If the Texans & Bills win Wild Card weekend (but not Chargers), and then both teams win in the divisional round (Bills @ Denver; Texans @ New England), the the Texans would host Buffalo In the AFC championship game.
The Steelers tried to pull this two weeks ago against the Browns, and lost scoring only 6 points. Neither Tomlin nor Arthur Smith are terribly innovative.
