No surprise there. Our defense should have a field day against their offense. Plus, only the Ravens, Colts, and Cowboys have a worse pass defense than Pittsburgh. This should be a game where we have those Steelers fans mopping up their tears with those terrible towels.

Steelers can get to the QB. CJ can't go 3 and out every time like the second half against the Chiefs. This is a matchup issue for us but I like our defense against their offense.

Oh, trust me, I’m not worried. Houston should dominate the Rodgers Steelers

Texans don't have a good history vs Rodgers either

Texans all time, vs both Aaron Rodgers & Lamar Jackson combined:

26 pass TDS, 2 rush TDs. 1 INT
9-1 record. (The 1 loss & INT both back in 2008)

Lamar definitely has the recent relevant history of damage vs this specific Demeco Texans. Rodgers has a 2024 Jets game vs Demeco. Then 2020, 2016, 2012 games wins. Though all those were vs Texans playoffs teams.

If it's about a QB who "historically owns the Texans" regardless of era, Rodgers qualifies. Texans need to bring it in a big way

Worth noting, Steelers o-line allows the least pass pressure %. Their offense strength theoretically helps negate Texans defense strength.

The Steelers are now the third-ranked OL, allowing pressure on just 25.5% of dropbacks, which is by far the best in the NFL — no other team is below 30.4%. They have the best quick pressure rate in the league (8.2%). The only thing holding back their line is running blocking, as they average just .85 yards before contact (21st in the NFL).
That can mostly mean, Rodgers himself is good at getting rid of the ball. But they are not very dynamic when doing that

Steelers are decent in red zone, in low turnovers & low penalties "mistake free" ball. That means covering their receivers will make it tough on them. And can throw off their "ball control" rhythm.

Texans o-line definitely needs to shape up against their pass rush. Would be lame if the deciding factor is simply that their o-line can protect Rodgers and Texans o-line cant protect CJ

I've been a fan since the Oilers and the McNair and Eddie George days. Watched Warren Moon with Haywood, Duncan and Ernest Givens. You?

The Rodgers stats are irrelevant, though, because he was not a washed up 75-yr-old then, and he is now.
