So glad I missed this game

 

Jabari is a decent weak side help defender in the post but he is ALWAYS going to get exposed when he's the main defender inside. He's too soft and too weak. We become the worse post defense in the league if Sengun and Adams are out.

JD should have played. Holliday didn’t play well and no one was able to drive into the paint

 

Maybe but i think they respected Davis too much. You can never play scared and they should get into his chest. They played scared against Wemby as well and lost that game. Never play scared

That's the thing, he rarely ever is. He won that championship on the Lakers thanks to the covid bubble season. There's a reason he keeps getting traded, it's not because he's bad, no, he'd be a perennial all-nba player if he played more often...but he doesn't.

Selling our best young offensive players for a guy that might be in street clothes come playoff time is just not a good move.

 

It’s tough b/c we would have gotten wrecked even worse on the boards. Clint was about as good as you could hope for. We had a **** lineup in the 2nd quarter and our wings (mainly Bari) bricked a ton of open threes. That’s where the game was lost

 

At least we won't have to worry about Dallas in the playoffs.

 

We came out so crisp and were on top of it defensively in the 1st quarter. Then the same ole sh#t happened. Stagnant offense. No ball movement. No one cutting. Just standing around. Plus we couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn when open. And we couldn’t stop anyone. Cristy was killing us and we repeatedly failed to run him off the 3pt line. As another poster said, they are a bad matchup for us. But I’m tired of seeing our worst shooters taking 3pt shots because we don’t have an offensive playbook. Every time Tate, Amen and Okogie (and Sengun) take 3’s it’s a huge win for the other team’s defense. It’s stupid and we have enough 3pt shooters that it shouldn’t be happening as frequently as it does.

 

My son said Ime should given some of Holiday's minutes to Davidson. I agree. Holiday was trash.

 

This is why garbage time matters. Our 3rd stringers have been ass at the end of blowouts and haven’t earned any trust.

I’ve seen flashes from JD but I won’t fault Ime for keeping him on the bench today. The game never got so out of hand that we became desperate.

I would use Aaron + 2nd rounders to find a better “stay ready” option.

This dude was 1 for 7 from three and 2 for 13 overall. Smfh...
